TAYLOR-BULLFROG MINE.
Taylor-Bullfrog Mines Company,
Los Angeles, Cal.
Gentlemen—I have made three mill runs on ore handed me from your mine with the following results:
Sample No. 1 on 25 pounds of ore representing an average sample producing bullion carrying a very little copper and gold but rated as gold, gives a value of $17.55 per ton.
Sample No. 2, on 47 pounds of ore, also an average sample, but taken at a different time, rated the same as the above, giving a value of $17.07 per ton.
Sample No. 3, on 45 pounds of ore, picked, giving a value of $84.95 per ton (rating the same as above).
Assuming that the ore on which the first two tests were made represents a fair average of your vein matter, and that you have a sufficient showing as to quantity and continuity of vein to justify the trifling outlay involved, I beg to make the following suggestion as to the best means of placing your property on a paying basis at once:
Taking as a basis to work on, a production of 25 tons per day for a period of 15 days or 375 tons. Now granting that we save only $16.00 per ton, the value of the product will be an even... $6,000
Against this we have approximately: Mining and delivery of ore, $1.60 per ton, $600.00; Milling, including power, etc., 80 per ton, $300; water $10 per day, $150.00. $1,050
Total profit on 15 days' run of 375 tons $4,950
My estimate of the cost of a com-

Total profit on 15 days' run of 375 tons $4,950
My estimate of the cost of a complete mill with a capacity of 25 tons including engine, rockcrusher, and building for a 50-ton plant, is well within the amount given as your 15 days' profits.
The two machines most essential in securing and maintaining the above results is the chemical amalgamator and wet pulverizer, manufactured by the International Ore Treating Machinery Company and which are guarantee to handle 25 tons per day of 24 hours. We can make you a net price on these machines of $750.00 for the amalgamator and $1,300.00 for the pulverizer.
Knowing that your ores can be successfully treated by the method suggested and relying on the statement of your manager as to the extent of ore bodies and general conditions of the mine, I do not hesitate in recommending the building of a 25-ton mill, and with the view of adding a second amalgamator and a pulverizer later, to bring the plant up to a 50-ton capacity.
Respectfully submitted,
F. A. WISWELL.
