Captain Williams conveyed a party in his auto, consisting of W. Smalzey of Pittsburgh, J. B. Rea and daughter Miss Kate Rea and Hugh Semple, to Bay City on Sunday afternoon. They went by way of Los Alamitos and returned in the evening.
J. B. Neff left yesterday for a week's visit to San Jose, Oakland and other north-coast points. He has completed this season's institute work, which was probably the most successful in the history of this part of the state.
