Irrigation begins immediately, and continues until sundown.

Charley Stadtegger has yet to encounter the horse which he cannot fit out with shoes after the most approved style. The other day he had in his shop a bronco recently arrived from Nevada which was quite unused to the ways of civilized society. Then Charley, seated comfortably upon the prostrate cavallo, proceeded deftly to fit it out with a fine set of shoes, while a crowd of interested spectators looked on.

Delos Morton was in town from the West End on Saturday. Mr. Morton states he has not heard from his son, Herb, in nearly four years. The last letter received from him was from Papite, in the island of Tahiti, a short while before the tidal wave which swept that island. The worthy parents of the young man, who have lived here many years, have not given up hope of yet enjoying his home-coming, and in this they are joined by their many friends in the community.
Max Nebelung was sought by the process server this week in the ridiculous suit of the Anderson-Barngrover company of San Jose against walnut growers of this county. He was a member of the local association eleven years ago, but has not affiliated with the aggregation for ten years, during which time he has been a purchaser of walnuts. Whatever liability he had as a stockholder of the local walnut-growers' association expired years ago. Mr. Nebelung was about town and in his office during the day and evening, but the man from the sheriff's office failed to locate him. He will probably be put to the inconvenience of appearing in court to defend himself in this case which looks much like blackmail.
Busy moving—but ready for business, Dietrich, jeweler.
Harry Hanna, formerly of this city, has been appointed by Abbot Kinney manager of the latter's extensive interests at Venice. Mr. Kinney has brought suit for $200,000 damages against the city trustees of Ocean Park. None of these orders have been carried out, but the complainant alleges that he has suffered great pecuniary loss from the proposed action and accordingly asks damages.

For Thin,
Poor Blood
You can trust a medicine tested 60 years! Sixty years of experience, think of that! Experience with Ayer's Sarsaparilla; the original Sarsaparilla; the Sarsaparilla the doctors endorse for thin blood, weak nerves, general debility.
But even this grand old medicine cannot do its best work if the liver is inactive and the bowels constipated. For the best possible results, you should take laxative doses of Ayer's Pills while taking the Sarsaparilla.
