FULLER More Electric Road Dope Santa Ana Bulletin, July 26. An electric road from Santa Ana to Newport Beach, built by the Huntington interests, is the latest proposition. The Newport Beach Board of Trade has taken the matter up, and says Huntington has given the assurance that if a right of way is secured the road will be built at once. Representatives of the Newport organization started out Tuesday securing concessions for the right of way, and it is reported that they have had excellent success, and have not been refused the donation asked in a single instance. Surveyors have been at work along the proposed line this week. As projected, the line parallels the Southern Pacific to a point about east of Fairview, and then strikes straight north, meeting the Pacific Electric tracks on the western edge of the city. Those who are working on the proposition are enthusiastic as to its success. An electric road from Huntington Beach to Riverside, through Garden Grove and Anaheim, is the program of the road-builders for this week. Garden Grove and Anaheim people have taken up the project, and have been very busy the past few days. They say they have assurances from the Huntington interests that if a right of way is donated the road will be built at once. They claim that practically all the right of way from Huntington Beach to Garden Grove has been pledged, and that the rest can be secured without great difficulty. A joint meeting is to be held at the Garden Grove school house tonight to devise plans for raising funds, as all the right of way through the small holdings between Garden Grove and Anaheim will grazing privilege—that is, use of the range to the high and trying to make as much out of the land.
