A little boy of six who had a loose tooth was sorely tried as to the best mode of "getting shut" of it. He was taken to the dentist, who advised that it be left alone. Neither his parents nor his teacher could muster up enough courage to pull it, and when the hired man got a good neckhold upon it the youth protested that it hurt, and so it was not further disturbed. One evening he tied a lengthy piece of thread to the tooth, and the other end to the back of his mamma's rocking chair. Came a knock at the door. The little boy ran to see who it was. The tooth came out. Tableau.
