The leader of the trio replied they were headed for Redlands, where they had worked last winter. They were given thirty minutes to leave town. In the early evening, and until the stores close at 9 o'clock, no street arcs are on, and the streets are in darkness. Much complaint is heard at turning off the service, but it seems the works are not strong enough to furnish light for the business and residence districts and for street lighting also. This condition of affairs bids fair to continue for at least six months or more. If this is the best we can do with municipal ownership, there seems to be something wrong with him. Joseph C.
