THE WINE INDUSTRY.
In to the Mammoth Dreyfus Winery
Description of the Grape Reducing Process Storage at 100,000,000 gallons of Sparkling Juice. Opinions on the Cause and Subsidence of the Night.
A report in the mammoth winery of Dreyfus it will reveal that it is one of the most extensive establishments in this section. The buildings are 200,000 feet long and immensely large. Two large grape elevators require the cost by wagon loads. After being weighted the wagons are drawn to the shrubbery and rapidly unloaded. The grapes are compressed to strain straws on the third story where they are subjected to the stemming and crushing process. The elevation is in a position being an endurance of receptivity which money their freight in the grainy and return in the wagons to be kept intact. The capacity of the winery is limited to grapes per day. As there are 150,000 gallons of wine, it will soon see that the winery is capable of reducing grapes to the extent of 100,000 gallons per day. Twelve hundred tons of grapes have thus far been crushed there.
The business is located by J. Waglionan, 347 Avalon Street, New York City.
Various efforts of our citizens are directed in making wine and some have taken part in pictorial three short season works. There are more beneficial than harmful practices although not comparing with other varieties grown here in California and Hartford are engaged in an intensive practice.

He attended Sullivan and Monday morning training and continued to pursue his career in law, forming him that there was a brief and fierce battle raging on the Tewksbury and that Rin Grande City had been for the past twenty four hours in possession of an armed Mexican mob. All the tide gramps and outlitters from John P. Kelsey, County Judge, State county, or the Sheriff and even securing one was more stifling and questionable than the other. All legal troops abolished daily, and convey the impression that the police world is camped away, nearly all of the border, and the lives of American youths in that section are in compromises. California has not as yet discovered the source of the French regard to blending grand wines. This is only from a commissary point of view, and probably not in a hundred wine drinkers are able to distinguish between the quantities of the two products of Merceer, the wines produced in Europe. Countries and wineries to a limited extent can be to the grade of grand wines are contained principally by the strenuous heads through the old world. These families have naturally acquired a taste for these two grades of wines, which are undoubtedly rare excellence, and this cannot be realized as long as their favored vintages are at hand. However, it is the opinion of many winemakers that our wines will meet day after day.
From the annual report of the State Vittuality Commission part to hand, it is learned that American wines which appeared trumpet over all methods in 1854 have since 1857 entered into a critical period, one with which all culturers are occupied. Certain grafted vines, limited as yet in number, have given may just signs of decadence as the end of spring. The characteristics of the still have largely everywhere the same vigor, frequently associated with conditions of the foliage. These two manifestations are observed in all degrees, grading from vine merits attained to vines at the peak of death. Generally, in vineyards affected the area are not all attacked by the same degree. There are sashes and plains where the milieu is more intense. And within the spats most afflicted some vines may often be observed which seem to react this weakness. If any resistant vines are found, which escaped the grafter, they usually contend favorably with the others in their beauty when the milieu is more intense.

Westview Court, September 29.A rumor was in circulation here today to the effect that a Mexican mob had murdered the United States troops in Fort Hammond in order to lynch Sebrez. During the day Governor Ross received a dispersion from General Stanley commanding the United States troops in Texas saying that the Secretary of War had ordered him to protect the lives of the people and property at the same time of the trouble, and to hold Sebrez until he is appalled by the State authorities. The wires are down between this point and Rio Grande City, and nothing can be learned here of the condition of affairs so night.
