WHAT THE MENHON GEORGE MEANS
A pretty woman entered a Chiton ward house on upper Broadway and inquired why her clothes had not been seen home, as usual, on the night before. She only recalled three minutes, let during that time seven other Chitons who were shamming and framing five linen conversed about her in their native tongue as follows:
Wen Lang—What is it?
Sing III—Did it blow in?
Al Shim—No, it was hoisted in.
Cum Gin—How would you like to mash it?
Al Tol—Look at the fact of it—Great Buddha!
Hong Fat—Let's drown it in the wristful.
Al Flip—No, let's save it for soap fat.

One evening at the professor's rooms a mutual friend told a very funny story. It was so evident that the professor did not see anything funny about it, that I proposed we should try and explain it to him. The mutual friend analyzed it; took it apart, bit by bit, and explained where the point of the yarn was, and to assist him I drew a diagram on a sheet of paper. The professor listened

The Kindly Landlord.
Landlord—Good morning. Glad to see you trimming the lawn. I have a notion to reduce your rent.

Two Big Eyes.
A Dalmatian and a Texas who met in Chicago were displeasing about the greatness of their respective districts, and among other things mutual marvel stories about the wife in such locality.
How fast does a Texas mother blow? asked the Dalmatian at last.
"How fast? Well, the only thing that will measure it is lightning. When a Texas northerner touches they telephon about, so that people get into ground, but when it comes near hardway it will just about run a mile and more with the lightning. How fast is this blinding himself?
"No, you can't measure a blinding. Thank nothing, it is much a bilious skill a interrogation right of the wrist and story is on almost. Never saw but one the sound of which could be measured. Then wound to be something the matter with that one. It must endure only about 100 miles a second, and we cannot tell what was the matter with it until it went by what we found it was draining out of their real Texas marshal along behind—Chicago Vilson."
