From Saturday's Daily, The Gazette will hereafter be issued in the Morning instead of in the Evening. We make this change at the request of a large number of our patrons. The next issue will be on Tuesday Morning. Mr. P. Richards is we regret to say, quite indisposed. It is now proposed to establish a mounted night patrol in Anaheim. Mr. S. Wigle, a member of the Canadian Parliament, is in Los Angeles. Settlers are beginning to come in. A number arrived from Sonora this morning. The horse-power corn sheller will commence operations in Westminster on Monday. A gold sleeve button, made of brass, was found by Plato this morning and left at this office for the owner. In the case of the People vs Englehart, disturbing the peace, the defendant pleaded guilty and was fined five dollars by Judge Clark. The last installment of the tax, voted by the land-owners in Water District No. 1, has been levied, payable on or before November 29th. Short; the auctioneer, has been selling more horses to-day. He is very successful in disposing of articles at a high figure. We would warn our lady readers against going into hysteries to-night when the fire bell rings. Three taps only will be given to call the meeting together. We hope the meeting of citizens at Enterprise Hall to-night will be a large one. Wright, Grand Lecturer of the State Grange, has been appointed by Governor Pacheco a delegate for California to the National Railroad Convention, to be held at St. Louis, Now. 23d. The exports during the month of October from Downey City were as follows: grain, 518,012 pounds; meal, 8,500 pounds; wool, 1,861 pounds; castror beans, 32,850 pounds; railroad freight, 210 pounds. Total 571,500 pounds. The imports during the same month were 73,515 pounds of merchandise, and 220,000 feet of lumber. No part of the town bears witness to the energy and foresight of its proprietors more than the vineyard belonging to the firm of Heimann & George. They have recently laid out the entire vineyard with trees, and building lots are being rapidly sold and improved. Several fine residences are in process of erection, and parties are now negotiating with a view to building. A few years will make it one of the choicest of locations.
