Anaheim Gazette SATURDAY...DECEMBER 12, 1874. [From the Commercial Herald.] San Francisco Market. FLOUR. The leading mills of the city and State find much of encouragement in the execution of export orders. The Central American trade demand for Extra seems to be steadily expanding while the Hongkong demand for Superline continues large. The export requirement for the United Kingdom is less than last year, yet the Vallejo Starr Mills are executing contract sales for that destination to some extent, as is the case with others inland. The Golden Gate, Golden Age and Commercial Mills have a large local trade with bakers and families that is of great value to them. The exports for the week include 16,700 qr sks and 152 bbls to Hongkong per China; the Macleod for Mauritius carried 14,084 qr sks and 2,000 hf sks; the Costa Rica for Central American ports carried the bulk of 2,150 bbls extra. We quote Superline at $14.25. Outside brands of Extra can be purchased at $4.50, while City Extras command $4.62. Golden Gate, Golden Age and Starr Mills Extra silk-dressed are jobbing at $5@5.12 or 190 lbs. WHEAT. The receipts as well as shipments compare favorably with those of last season. The outward movement is continued upon a grand scale. Stocks in the interior are very considerable, yet our city warehouses contain less than the usual quantity. We have a large fleet of ships in port, and there is an abundance of grain for all in due course. The millers, like shippers, are HOTELS PLANTERS' HOTEL, Cor. Los Angeles and Centre Sts. Anaheim, Cal. Frank R. Lafaucherie & Co., Proprietors. We the undersigned, having leased the above well-known house, would respectfully solicit the patronage of its former friends and the traveling public. The house having been refurbished and renovated, we are prepared to offer superior accommodations. Stays from Los Angeles, Wilmington and San Diego stop at this house. Anaheim is in the most fertile part of the semi-tropical region of California, in the midst of luxuriant Orange Groves and Purple Vineyards, Convenient to good hunting and fishing grounds, and is only twelve miles from the sea, with a climate acknowledged superior to any other in the State, and offers advantages to the Traveler or Tourist uneqqualed by any other part of the Union. The Bar Will always be stocked with the finest liquors and cigars. Frank R. Lafaucherie & Co. ANAHEIM HOTEL, Cor. Centre and Lemon Sts. Anaheim, Cal. THE undersigned would respectfully call the attention of the traveling public to the superior accommodations afforded at the ANAHEIM HOTEL. I will endeavor to maintain its well known reputation as the only FIRST-CLASS HOTEL South of San Francisco. NICE SUNNY ROOMS and especial care given to the comfort of invalids. The millers, like shippers, are forced to go into the country to buy selected crops of choice grain suited to their purpose. The cost to shippers approximate $1 50@1 52$, while to millers it is $1 55 at least. Inferior parcels of pinched, foul stuff are slow of sale at $1 25@1 35 etl; Coast lots selling at $1 40@1 45, according to condition. Some lots brought in are quite wet, others damp, showing the effect of exposure. The Macleod for Mauritius carried 5,900 etls. The business of the week, so far as made public, approximates the following in lots: 25,000 skis extra choice milling, $1 55; 150,000 skis choice,$1 52}; 26,000 skis do $1 50; 7,500 skis fair, $1 45; 2,500 skis do, $1 42]; 3,600 sacks do, $1 40; 2,500 sacks inferior, $1 30@1 35; and 1,250 sacks pinched inferior, $1 25@1 30 etl. Liverpool quotations December 2d, for spot parcels are given at 9s 9d@10s 2d for average, 10s 3d@10s 6d for club. In 1873, same date, 13s 4d up to 13s 6d@14s for club; 1872, 12s 3d@13s 3d. With us, at this date, the range of the market is $1 25@1 55 etl. HOPS. The Macgregor for Sydney will carry a small shipment of 20 bales. The market with us is firm at 32@35c; extra choice held at 37¢. BEANS. There is a speculative demand for Whites of choice quality, but the truth is there are very few good ones to be had at any price. The crop was thought to be a full one, yet nine-tenths of it was ruined or injured by the early rains before secured from the weather. We quote jobbing rates: Bayos,2|@2¢ Pink. 2|@2¢; Red, 2|@2¢; small White, 8|@8¢; Butter, 4|@5¢. COTTON. We note a sale of 70 bales Merced County at 15¢. SEEDS. The supply is good, with small cargo sales at $13@14 for common; $15@17 THE undersigned would respectfully call the attention of the traveling public to the superior accommodations afforded at the ANAHEIM HOTEL. There is a good demand for Dry at 19½@20¢ for the usual selections; Wet Salted at 0@9¢. POTATOES. The demand from the interior for Humboldt has been good, and prices of all kinds have advanced. Humboldt and Pigeon Point,$162¼; Petaluma and Tomales,$h50@160; Sallinas,$150. Sweet plentiful at$1@125. ONIONS. Are in moderate supply, selling at $125@150 @100lb. WOOL. Eastern markets reported dull, and prices quoted at 17@20¢ for heavy and burry, and 21@25¢ for free grades. These prices being in currency, it is evident that but little can be done here until such a time as there is an improvement in both demand and prices there, or otherwise a disposition on the part of holders here to accept equivalent rates, so that shippers can see their way clearly. The volume of business for the past week has been small, and we give quotations as follows, with sales during the week of about 800,000 lbs; Burry held at 12@14e heavy free, 14@16e; good shipping, 16@18c. A circular of even date says: "There is some movement in our market, but it is at low prices. The cheapest of Wool will not bring over 20¢, and it is doubtful if even at this figure any considerable sales could be made. Burry, seedy and heavy wools are much neglected. We quote good to choice, 17½@20¢; fair, 15½@17¢; heavy and seedy, 18½@14¢; burry, 11½@15¢ according to condition and quantity of bury." COMMISSION MERCHANTS Frank R. Lafaucherie, COMMISSION MERCHANT.
