They are the Great Blood Purifier and a Life-giving Principle, a Perfect Remover and Inorganizer in the System, carrying on all poisonous matter and restoring the blood to healthy condition, enriching it, refreshing and invigorating both mind and body. They are easy of administration, prompt in their action, certain in their results, safe and reliable in all forms of disease.
No Person can take these Bitters according to directions, and remain long unwell, provided their bones are not destroyed by mineral poison or other means, and the vital organs wasted beyond the point of repair.

ADVERTISING
Has created many a new business.
Vinegar Bitters are not a vile Fancy Drink made of Foot Urin, Whisky, Proof Spirits, and Raisins. Liquors, doctored, spiced, and sweetened to please the taste, called "Tonics," "Appetizers," "Restorers" &c., that lead the tippler on to drunkenness and ruin but are a true Medicine, made from the native roots and herbs of California, free from all alcoholic Stimulants. They are the Great Blood Purifier and a Life-giving Principle, a Perfect Remover and Incorporator in the system, carrying off all pollutants matter and history, keeping the blood to healthy condition, enriching it, refreshing and invigorating both mind and body. They are easy of administration, prompt in their action, certain in their results, safe and reliable in all forms of disease.
No Person can take these Bitters according to directions, and remain long unwell, provided their bones are not destroyed by mineral poison or other means, and the vital organs wasted beyond the point of repair.
Dyspepsia or Indigestion, Headache, Pain in the Shoulders, Cougles, Tigness of the Chest, Dizziness, Sour Eruptions of the Stomach, Bad Taste in the Mouth, Bilious Attacks, Palpitation of the Heart, Infarmation of the Lungs, Pain in the region of the Kidneys, and hundred other painful symptoms are the causes of Dyspepsia. In these complaints has no equal, and one bottle will prove better guarantee of its merits than a lengthy advertisement.
For Female Complaints, in young or old, married or single, at the dawn of womanhood, or the turn of life, these Tonic Bitters display so decided an influence that a marked improvement is soon perceptible.
For Inflammatory and Chronic Rheumatism and Gout, Dyspepsia or Indigestion, bilious, Remittent and Intermittent Fevers, Diseases of the Blood, Liver, Kidneys and Bladder, these Bitters have been most successful. Such Diseases are caused by Vitated Blood, which is generally produced by derangement of the Digestive Organs.
They are a Gentle Purgative as well as a Tonicle, possessing also the peculiar merit of acting as a powerful agent in relieving Congestion or Inflammation of the Liver and Visceral Organs and in Billious Diseases.
For Skin Diseases, Eruptions, Tetter, Salt-Rheum, Biotches, Spotts, Pustules, Boils, Carbuncles, Ring-worms, Scud-Head, Sore Eyes, Erysipelas, Itch, Scuria, Discolorations of the Skin, Humors and Diseases of the Skin, of whatever name or nature, are literally dug up and carried out of the system in a short time by the use of these Bitters.
One bottle in such cases will convince the most incriminations of their charitable effects.
Cleanse the Villated Blood whenever you find it impurple burning through the skin in Pimples, Eruptions, or Sores; cleanse it when you find it obstructed and sluggish in the veins; cleanse it when it is foul; your feelings will tell you when. Keep the blood pure, and the health of the system will follow.
Grateful Thousands proclaim Vinegar Bitters the most wonderful Invigorant that ever sustained the sinking system.
Pin Tape, and other Worms, lurking in the system of so many thousands are effectually destroyed and removed. Says a distinguished physician: There is scarcely an individual on the face of the earth whose body is exempt from the presence of worms. It is not upon the healthy elements of the body that worms exist, but upon the diseased humors and silky deposits that breed those living monsters of disease. No system of medicine, no vermifuges, no anthelmintics, will free the system from worms like these Bitters.
Mechanical Diseases—Persons engaged in Paints and Minerals, such as Plumbers, Type-setters, Gold-beaters and Miners, as they advance in life, are subject to paralysis of the Bowels. To guard against this, take a dose of Walker's Vinegar Bitterns twice a week.
Billious, Remittent, and Intermittent Fevers which are so prevalent in the valleys of our great rivers throughout the United States especially those of the Mississippi, Ohio Missouri Illinois Tennessee Cimberland Arkansas Red Colorado Brazos Rio Grande Pearl Alabama Mobile Savannah Roanoke James and many others with their vast tributaries throughout our entire country during the Summer and Autumn and remarkably so during seasons of unusual heat and dryness are lavatively accompanied by extensive derangements of the stomach and liver and other abdominal videos. In such treatment a puritative power induces upon various organs in essentially necessary. There is no cashier for the purpose equal to Dr. J. Walker’s Vinegar Bitterns as they will specially remove the dark-colored viscid matter with which the bowels are loaded at the same time stimulating the secretions of the liver and generally restoring the healthy functions of the digestive organs.
Serofula, or King’s Evil. White Swelling Tissues. Dyspepsia Swelled Nose. Golteire Sensuous Involvement. Involuntary Infirmations. Mercury Affections. Old Sores. Eruptions of the Skin. Sore Eyes etc. In those as in all other constitutional Diseases. Walkner’s Vinegar Bitterns have shown their great curative powers in the most obnate and intractable cases.

GRANT & WILSON CLUB
The Grant & Wilson club held their regular weekly meeting last Saturday evening, in Enterprise Hall.
Quite a number of ladies graced the occasion with their presence, among whom we noted Mrs Flora Eldredge, Miss D C. Marquis, Mrs P. A. Clark, Mrs S. Zanchel, Miss Mary Kuchel, Mrs Alice Higgins, Mrs Arthur Boyle, Mrs Emily Fischer, Mrs F Carillo and Miss Carillo.
A communication was received from the Greeley & Brown club, requesting the names of D. Garcia and Philip Humes to be stricken from the roll of membership of their clubs they having renounced their support of Grant & Wilson and gone over to the Greeley & Brown clubs.
Mr Fischer said he was glad to hear that Mr Garcia had left the club, and charged him with dishonorable conduct during the last campaign.
MR. JOHN FISCHER
Who was down on the programme for a speech, Mr. Fischer made a short but spirited address, which was well received and warmly applauded throughout. He proves in fact to be an excellent stamp speaker, entering into the contest with a warmth and split which adds vastly to the effectiveness of his words.

SPEECH BY MR GUINN.
Speaker deplored the tendency of the times to degrade political discussion to the level of mere personal abuse, and admitted that his own party speakers had not been blameless in that respect. If there are no greater principles to be considered than the mere personal fitness of Grant or Greeley, our government is a failure and we are just merging into an absolute despotism. But such is not the case, the campaign means something more than the mere supremacy of Greeley's white hat, or of Grant's cigar.
Speaker compared the policy of the two parties and reviewed their present principles and platforms. Said Republican were the party of order, progress and civilization; Said Democrats had gradually accepted all the various tenets of the Republican creed; the Declaration of the Rights of Man, the abolition of slavery and the equality of all men before the law. All the great truths we have contended for may be summed up in this one: "All men are born free and equal." This principle has been long struggled for and at last accomplished. The Republican party has solved the most difficult question of modern polity in demonstrating the fact that it is possible for a nation to suppress a civil war within itself and still maintain its Republican form. Speaker said the Democratic party had fallen from grace, that it had become the tool of slavery, and on the plains of Kansas 20 years ago.
Thought the political rule in Los Angeles County had been corrupt. Of all the vast amount of tax paid there is no public property to show for it—nothing but an old building for a court house, whose very purchase speaker denounced as a "job" and a fraud. Said $50,000 was paid for it when it was not worth $20,000, Said Anaheim had not been treated fairly. She had paid $50,000 taxes and the only public improvement is one bridge costing $234,50.
Mr White was called upon for a speech but excused himself; also Capt Knox, who said he hoped all would vote for the Los Angeles and San Diego R.R. proposition [laughter]. Mr Beebe promised to address the meeting at a future time, also Mr. S Randall.
S Randall, E G Beebe, Capt. Knox and R Melrose were appointed speakers for the next meeting.
The Seo'y was ordered to procure a transparency with the name of the club, and the night of meeting, to place in front of the hall.
On motion the night of meeting was changed to Wednesday.
Adjourned to Wednesday evening Sept. 25, at some place.
ALWAYS SUCCESSFUL. While others often fail, Mr A. E. Putney almost invariably succeeds in finding a good artesian stream the first trial, without extra expense to his employers. This is partly owing to his long experience and peculiar knowledge of the business and also the superior power of his boiling tools which enables him to go through strata that are impenetrable to others. His address is Anaheim.
SUITS VS SQUARTERS. A number of ejectmen suits were commenced last week, by Irvine & Co., against Chilson — Bohannon, John Dicky, John Doe, Richard Ree, et al., squatters on the San Joaquin and Santiago ranchos. The commences were served by Dep Sheriff Jas D. Byrd.
NEW VOLUME — The San Diego Union of 25th inst. enters upon its fourth volume. It is an enterprising and valuable newspaper and we are pleased to announce that its efforts
The Republican party has solved the most difficult question of modern polity in demonstrating the fact that it is possible for a nation to suppress civil war within itself and still maintain its Republican form. Speaker said the Democratic party had taken from grace that it had become the tool of slavery, and on the plains of Kansas, 20 years ago, began an open conflict which culminated in the rebellion.
Things of the past have something to do with the present campaign. A party that has once gone astray can hardly be trusted; for the future, even though its repentance were sincere, which speaker doubted from the fact that discipline of Boss Tweed (instance Sunset Cox) had been lazily nominated for office by the supporters of Mr. Greeley. Doubled also sincerity of Democratic regard for the negro from that fact that a negro procession in Cincinnati was recently stoned for refusing to go for Greeley. Thought that "equal and exact justice" from a Democratic stand point meant rocks and rotten eggs for Chinaman and Nerries. Read a tract from the Tribune to show that Greeley was not honest in his profession of Democratic principles. Said he had been the first to nominate Gen. Grant for second term. Had favored the passage of the Ku-Klux laws etc.
The remarks of Mr. Guinn were greeted with applause, and music from the Glee Club was called for. The singers however reported themselves still unprepared and the President announced...
