I looked out of this broad window, made up of little six-sinch lights, and saw that the post-office of the town was opposite. A red faced baker passed by with a basket of bread on his head, singing, to himself, and that was all I could hear in Henly Street, Stratford, as I looked out of the window through which the light first came to Shakespeare. All the walls are dark with a confusion of names. In a room below hangs a card, on which are transcribed the four lines written by Lucien Napoleon on the wall. Example—Suppose a pig to measure its two feet, and in length one foot and nine inches; there would be three and a half feet, which multiplied by seven, gives thirty-eight and a half pounds as the weight of the animal when dressed.
