SATURDAY, MARCH 18, 1871.
A Mother's Love.—A river widely washed its shores and rent away a bough whereon a bird had built a cottage for her summer hope. Down the white-welled whirling stream drifted the green branch, its wacker cup of unfledged song, and scattering beside it, as it went, the mother bird. Unheeding the roaring raviver on she went, her crys of agony and tear piercing the passes in the storm. How like the love of the old fashioned mother, who followed the dove she had pulled from her heart all over the world. Swift away by passion that child might be, mattered not though he was hearing away with him the fragrance of the shattered root tree, yet that mother was with him. A Ruth through all this life and a Rachet at his death.
A darkey in Louis and recently was discussing the negro equality question to which he was bitterly opposed. He said: "Mother is God a notty made de white man want." He make de black man black. Nobody can't make them else. You know how to turkey he roost on defence, and do goose he roost on ground. You put to turkey will a fence and he set up again. You crop his wings, but she how or a murder he's gwine to get pack on the fence. Now you put a glosse on defense and he fall off—the don't boating day. Now don't write man and bigger—white man roosts on defence, and nigger on defence.
How to Kill a Town—To kill a town—unharm your neighbor's property; well build your support from home mechanics and manufactures; buy everything you need elsewhere in preference to home; and if you are in business refuse to advertise. It won't kill the most prosperous town in America, at may be constable will give proof
How to Kill A Town—To kill a town—unless your neighbor's property; without your support from home merchants and manufactures, buy everything you need elsewhere in preference to homes, and if you are in business refuse to a cover-up. It is won't kill the most prosperous town in America, at may be constricted and fine proof against hard times.
The following letter and upon the "great human press" is from the Medina, Ohio.
"The Indian newspapers it is said now publish regular reports of the state of the diverse market something in this way: Common separation, $15, Small alimony, $20; Large alimony, $50 to $500 general business, good and encouraging." &c., &c."
A young lady when told to take exercise for her health, said she would jump at an offer, and run her own risk.
Tir for For.—Anna Dickenson said "I propose giving newspaper men who talk about me (? for ?) Her first customer was Sol Miller, a Kansas editor, who responded: 'All right, Anna, we'll truely here's your life!'

New York, August 15th, 1868.
Allow me to call your attention to my Preparation of Compound Extract Buchu. The component parts are, Buchu, Long Leaf, Cubebs Juniper Berries.
Mode of Preparation—Buchu in vacuo. Juniper Berries, by distillation, to form a fine glue. Cubebs extracted by displacement with spirits obtained from Juniper Berries; very little sugar is used, and a small proportion of spirit. It is more palatable than any now in use.
Buchu is prepared by Druggists is of a dark color. It is a plant that emits its fragrance; the action of a flame destroys this (its active principle), leaving a dark and glutinous decoction. Mine is the color of ingredients. The Buchu in my preparation predominates; the smallest quantity of the other ingredients are added, to prevent fermentations upon inspection it will be found not to be a Tincture, as make in Pharmacopera; nor is it a Syrup—and therefore can be used in cases where fever or information exist. In this, you have the knowledge of the ingredients and the mode of preparation.
Hoping that you will favor it with a trial, and that upon inspection it will meet with your approbation.
With a feeling of profound confidence.
I am very respectfully,
K. T. HELMBOLD.
