Crawley HAROLD LLOYD'S BEST COMEDY COMING TO CALIFORNIA "Laugh and the world laughs with you," is the old augue which will ever remain green in the minds of everyone. It is quite appropriate for every occasion where a good side-splitting laugh is concerned, and for once the management of the California Theater intends to take advantage of this adage, knowing full well that it will be followed to the letter. Starting tomorrow they have booked Harold Lloyd's great comedy, "Never Weaken," a whirthmaker of a very high order. In this roaring feature, Lloyd keeps his spectators on the edges of their seats throughout the showing of the picture. There are but few comedians today who can match up with Lloyd in his intimate actics, and this picture is undoubtedly a hit. Together with the same picture, Mary Miles Minter will appear in "Her Winning Way," a fine comedy farce. She is supported by a very clever cast, and this picture is said to be one of Miss Minter's very best. Chita Appeals Against Aggression of Japanese RIGA, Dec. 24.—The parliament of SEARCH HUBBY'S POCKETS; JUDGE SAYS IT'S LEGAL MALDEN, Mass., Dec. 24.—Another load has been added to the burdens to be borne by husbands living in Malden. Their wives have been granted the right to search their pockets at any time! The quest for stray change, the habit of making it a daily duty to turn the pockets of their husband's trousers inside out, was upheld in court today and the women spectators are said to have departed with a new and victorious light in their eyes. Judge Charles M. Bruce, in the municipal court, made the ruling legalizing raids upon the transient bank accounts. "It has been the inallenable right of women from the beginning of time to take money from their husband's pockets," he said. He then found Alphonso di Esco guilty of assault on his wife, Lena, whom Alphonso said he found each morning with her hands in his pockets. Valencia Hotel Guests G. K.
