LYON REALTY COMPANY SHOWS CHRISTMAS SPIRIT NOW The J. T. Lyon Realty Company, conforming to the spirit of Christmas tide, are going to give a present of $75 to any person making an initial payment on any lot in Elk Park Extension—Anaheim's Most Beautiful Residential addition. This means that while one will only pay $150 down as first payment one will be credited with $225 on any lot selected. There has not been any advance in the price of these lots. Same price will remain until January 1, 1922, when this unusually generous offer will expire. No residential addition district in Anaheim is more charmingly located. There are orange and walnut trees on every lot and the possibilities of beautification are only limited by the taste, desires and ambition of the home-owner. The restrictions, considered the best of any addition in Anaheim, cover a period of twenty-five years. All the modern improvements are there—gas, electricity, water, sewer, sidewalks, curbing, and nine foot parking. "The gift of seventy-five dollars is simply in line with the Christmas spirit," said Mr. Duckworth today. "It is also the policy of the Lyon Company to make the acquisition of a home-site easily possible to all good persons who are earnestly yearning for a home of their own. By issuing this gift certificate we are encouraging the home-seeker to buy now when the price of Anaheim property is very reasonable, considering the high development of the rich surrounding country. We want them to profit in their investment and they surely will gather a handsome profit between what they pay now and what they will have to pay later. Anaheim property is constantly increasing in value and it is the part of wisdom to buy before the rapid advances occur." Benny Leonard Defeats Town and County B. A. Wide ribbon or strips of material are used on the waist part, with the narrow ones completing the sleeves, and round collar or yoke and cuffs of the fabric forming the foundation of the blouse finish it. For the mid-winter and first spring showing, designers are leaning to blouses that are of waist length or just a trifle longer, but generally of the over-the-skirt type. Tailored or semi-tailored effects are in high favor. One smart little crepe de Chine blouse seen in an early spring group was distinguished only by a wide panel sort of vest centering the front and concealing the side fastening, each edge of this vest being finished with a narrow shell pleating. The round turn-down collar and the edges of the plain cuffs were similarly finished. This shell pleating, really a narrow pleated ruffle arranged in scallops, is a popular trimming for tailored silk blouses. ing the home-seeker to buy now when the price of Anaheim property is very reasonable, considering the high development of the rich surrounding country. Clark of South ANAHEIM DAILY HERALD Los ANGELES Dec. 21—Attacked by two negroes who forced their way into the house last night under pretense of delivering a message, Elizbeth Lindbron, 50, a maid in the home of Elliott M., House at 2500 Fifth avenue, was so badly frightened and shocked that she could tell only a few details of the assault, and gave only a vague description of her assailant. She was alone in the home shortly after dark, she said, when the two negroes knocked at the front door, "We have a message for you," or of them told her. He then handed her an envelope. As she was opening it, the men forced their way into the house.* Mrs. Lindbron fled, but was over taken by the pair in the front yard. They struck her, knocking her to the ground, but she regained her feet and succeeded in eluding them again. Running to a neighbor’s house across the street, she telephoned the University police station. Officers Littell and Hawes responded to the call, but after a thorough search of the neighborhood were unable to locate either of the negroes. Nothing was taken from the House home, the police said. Men with cheerful dispositions are more inclined to borrow money than trouble. Fortunately a mother never knotted just what the neighbors think of children. Ben Baxter, contractor, 266-W.-Adv. THE B Valencia Hotel Bldg. of Colton and San Bernardina. The Tetley bridge, a few miles south, is also reported to be weakening. The county bridge over the Santa Ana river between this city and Colton is raid to be in danger of going out with the flood. Itain continues in this section and all small streams are raging torrents. The San Jacinto river is putting out more water than at any time in the past thirty years and vast expanses of farming land is inundated. The San Jacinto river flows into Lake Elsinore and the lake is rising rapidly. There was a wild rumor here this morning that the dam of the Hemet Water Company had gone out but this is denied by the officials of the company over the telephone. Cloudburst at Arroyo Seco PASADENA, Cal., Dec. 21.—For six hours last evening, Arroyo Seco, just above this city, experienced a cloudburst that has sent the Arroyo stream to the highest level ever known, filled the immense reservoir back of Devil's Gate to within two and a half feet of the spillway, and further increased the danger that is facing Congressman Charles H. Randall, who, with his wife, is believed to be imprisoned in their mountain cabin between two walls of water coming down from the west slopes of Mt. Wilson. This city's rainfall up to 6 o'clock this morning, for the storm, totals 8.03 inches, and for the last twenty-four hours 3.27 inches. The season total is 9.88 inches. Mount Wilson reported this morning its record-breaking total of 21.58 inches; 5.19 for the last twenty-four hours, and 23.06 for the season. No Word From Randall No word has been received from Randall. Forest rangers supposed to cover that district state that the couple are in little danger from flood waters, but lack of supplies may inconvenience them for a while. Several groups of his friends here in Pasadena are talking of sending a relief expedition to his cabin today. Their only chance would be to go up from La-Canada. Opposite the Randall cabin they would either have to swim the raging torrent or send supplies over on an improvised tramway of ropes. 38--Timely Suggestions--38 For Christmas FLASHLIGHTS PYRALIN IVORY ROLL-UP MANICURE SETS MANICURE SHEARS THERMOS BOTTLES THERMOS LUNCH KITS UNIVERSAL VACUUM BOTTLES UNIVERSAL LUNCH KITS ALUMINUM HOT WATER BOTTLE HOT WATER BAGS WATERMAN PENS SHAEFFER PENS EVER SHARP PENCILS DJER-KISS SETS MOTOR DRIVEN VIBRATORS $5.00 ALARM CLOCKS CIGARS IN SMALL BOXES CIGARETTES IN CARTONS FANCY CANDY IN BOXES CHOICE STATIONERY MILITARY BRUSHES COMBS AND BRUSHES PLAYING CARDS RAZORS AND MUGS SAFETY RAZORS (All Makes) LATHER BRUSHES FLASHLIGHTS PYRALIN IVORY ROLL-UP MANICURE SETS MANICURE SHEARS THERMOS BOTTLES THERMOS LUNCH KITS UNIVERSAL VACUUM BOTTLES UNIVERSAL LUNCH KITS ALUMINUM HOT WATER BOTTLE HOT WATER BAGS WATERMAN PENS SHAEFFER PENS EVER-SHARP PENCILS PERFUME AND POWDER SETS PACKAGE PERFUMES TOILET WATERS CAMERAS KODAK ALBUMS ELECTRIC HEATING PADS DJER-KISS SETS MOTOR DRIVEN VIBRATORS $5.00 ALARM CLOCKS CIGARS IN SMALL BOXES CIGARETTES IN CARTONS FANCY CANDY IN BOXES CHOICE STATIONERY MILITARY BRUSHES COMBS AND BRUSHES PLAYING CARDS RAZORS AND MUGS SAFETY RAZORS (All Makes) LATHER BRUSHES COIN PURSES BILL FOLDS STAR VIBRATORS HAMILTON-BEACH VIBRATORS MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS SHAVING STANDS Heying's Pharmacy "On the Corner" Open Every Evening Until Christmas Thousands of Christmas Suggestions at THE PRINCE STORE NAHEIM CORNER CENTER AND LEMON CALIF BAKE RITE A STANDARD PRICE TO ALL The Best Is None Too Good for the Christmas Dinner-- All the product of the ovens of the Bake-Rite Bakers, be it tempting varieties, cakes and pies or pure wholesome loaves of nutritious bread, their equal will not be found.
