A very pretty affair was that given Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Munger in Brea, the occasion being to celebrate three November birthdays, Messrs. O. E. McGinnis, H. H. Tracy and E. L. Munger respectively. The dining room was decorated in the scarlet and grey, their college colors, as the three families were college mates at Pomona college. A delicious 1 o'clock dinner was served, covers being laid for Mr. and Mrs. O. E. McGinnis and family of Long Beach, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Tracy, and host and hotess, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Munger.
Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Sanderson and family of Burbank visited with W. W. Whelchel and family Sunday.
Mrs. Lillian Maley of West Coast lease is home again after a two weeks' visit with Mrs. Tully and family at Junction City.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lindeman and daughter Lillian of Redwood Falls, Minn., arrived Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.J.C.Smith where they will spend the winter. They made the trip in a Reo coupe, enjoying the northern route and good roads the entire route. They stopped over at many interesting points, completing the trip in six weeks.
J.P.Segartian transacted business in Los Angeles yesterday for the Sebastian Dry Goods store.

The Altar society of the St. Mary's Catholic church held a very successful card party yesterday afternoon for the benefit of the Altar society.

SPARKS AND DARNLEY TAKE OVER LEGION BOXING ARENA
Albert Sparks and Billy Darnley have taken over the American Legion boxing arena, according to an announcement made today. The arena will be the new home of the Anaheim Athletic Club. The athletic entertainments will be conducted under the auspices of the local American Legion post as in the past, the post sharing in the profits of the boxing shows. The officers of the new organization are as follows: President, Albert Sparks; vice-president and athletic manager, Will C. Darnley; secretary-treasurer, Frank Tausch.
The new management proposes to give the sport fans of Orange county and vicinity the best that can be offered in the line of athletic entertainment. Friday night has been set aside for the regular boxing show as was the custom at the old Sparks' fistic farm, which has been discontinued.
It is proposed to open the club next Tuesday night, when the long-looked for wrestling match between Al Sparks and Bull Montana will take place. And on the following Friday the weekly boxing shows will be resumed with a bang-up ard of bouts.

A savings bank will soon be installed as a feature of F. U. H. S. by the Fullerton Savings Bank. It will be operated by the students of the commercial department, under the supervision of Mr. Culp.

Robber With Two Life Sentences Asks Third
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16.—Holly Ritter requested Superior Judge Sidney N. Reeve to give him a life sentence in a hurry. He said he had two life sentences which Judge McCormick had handed him the day before for robbery of thirty-nine gasoline stations. One more, from Judge Reeve, he said, did not make much difference, except that he was anxious to get out of the county jail and to state's prison.
The vacation period is a great relief, but the great need of the country is a vacation for the hyphen.

LEGION POST CARNIVAL ATTRACTING LARGE CROWDS NOW

Subjugation, and introduced in acts that are full of thrills and sensation. At the autodroma the "mile-a-minute" girl is providing plenty of thrills for the spectators who watch her daring performance. Miss Murray with her "Jounteel Girls," is delighting hundreds of patrons with living models and the artistic dancing of Mille La Trisce, while the Georgia minstrels and the circus slideshow are all adding their quota to round out an evening of pleasure.
The numerous riding devices that have been installed on the grounds are also getting their share of the patronage, the most popular ones being the whip and the swing. During the latter part of the week new novelties will be introduced and with continued good attendance the Legion will receive a large sum with which
