The preliminary examination of Uri Sanders on a felony charge continued until June 13, in order to secure more witnesses for the prosecution. Sanders is accused by G. W. Bellairis, a pumper for the Petroleum Midway, of stealing five 20 dollar Parigon gold pieces, valued at $40 each, anl a gold watch and chain.

Beware Speeders
Citizens of Orange county who have "ways that are dark and deeds that are bad" had better reform, for Under Sheriff E. E. French has been presented with a new Stephens Six by the board of supervisors with which to run down criminals who have their lair in this district.
Case Continued
The case against R. W. Ernest, charged with parking an automobile too close to a fire hydrant was heard before Judge Howard this morning and in the absence of witnesses, the case was continued for final disposition Monday at 2 p.m.
Sells Shop
The Beauty Shop owned by Mme. Virgil was sold June 1 to Mrs. E. Taylor, who for the past few months has been operating a ladies' garment concern. Mme. Virgil expects to return to Venice with her daughter and mother.
Telephone Display
Of interest to passersby today is the display of a telephone receiver and transmitter in a display window of Falkenstein's store. The instrument is the one used by Mrs. E. E. Rembsberg of Santa Ana when talking to her brother, President Warren G. Harding, upon the occasion of the opening of the Valencia Orange show by the president on May 17.
All who ever lived in the Pine Tree state are invited to a great picnic reunion all day Saturday, June 11.
Printers' Banquet
Next Wednesday night, the Ona County Job Printers' Association have a banquet at the Rossmore Park Santa Ana, at 6:30 o'clock. It will be $1.50. Harry T. Watson trict manager for the George H. Ford Ink Company, will give his fare address, "Color as Applied to A tising."
Heart Drive
Mrs. J. P. Brastad, assisted by group of Anaheim ladies is busy day directing the Heart Day drive the Children's Home Society of Fornia. A score or more of boys girls lined Center and side streets day, selling little red cardinal hearts. The drive will continue the evening.

Charges of forgery were dismissed against A. H. Hoffman of Orange today on motion of the district attorney's office. Hoffman is now serving a six months' sentence in the county jail for a similar offense.
