Her legs were broken by Dr. Max Thorek at the American hospital here. For six weeks Mrs. Hodges will be forced to stay in bed and another six weeks will be spent on a wheel chair. Mrs. Rebeca Newcomer of Williamsport, Pa., mother of the patient, was with her daughter during the operation. Hodges is in Norfolk. "I am going to give my husband the surprise of his life when I get out of here," she said. "I am going to get my picture in a one piece bathing suit."
