FULLERTON
The city council of Fullerton has passed a resolution calling for an election for an issue of $283,000 in bonds for rebuilding of the water system of that city.
Four of the council men voted for holding the election, while Councilman Rollin Marsdon voted against the proposal. Marsdon held that the present reservoir, which has a capacity of five million gallons, was sufficient for present needs.
Present plans call for another reservoir. Marsdon declared that with increased pressure from pumps the present reservoir would be sufficient to care for the demands of the city.
If the bond issue is voted the money will be appropriated for the drilling of new wells, the installation of new pumps, larger mains and extensions of mains.

"Mother's Day" is to be celebrated at the Community church next Sunday morning, when Rev. L. Potter Kitchcock will have "A Word for the Vila Park Mothers." He has also asked the young people of the community to act as hosts for the service.
"Clean-up Day" for the church corner has been called for next Tuesday morning, and the men of the community are asked to come with their tools and teams and put the corner into condition for children's day, which is to be celebrated on May 16. The Ladies' Aid is going to extend to the tollers an invitation to lunch with them at the noon hour.
We might get better results by paying diplomats on a peace-work basis.
All posts and Women's Auxiliary units of the American Legion have been asked in a bulletin from national headquarters to co-operate with the United States Public Health Service in celebrating May 12 as "National Hospital Day."
The plan calls for patients in public health hospitals holding open house for their friends; entertainment features; visits of convalescent patients to theatres and ball parks; visits of inspection by general public; reception by nurses to girls and young women; donation of flowers and smokes.
It is believed by public health officials that wide observance of the day will help rouse public interest and will be of lasting benefit to disabled veterans.
SUFFERED SEVEN LONG YEARS
Finally Relieved by taking Lydia E... Pinkham's Vegetable Compound
Ravenswood, W.Va.—"For seven long years I suffered from a female trouble and inflammation so that I was not able to do my housework. I consulted several doctors but none seemed to give me relief. I read in a paper about Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound so I decided to try it, and before the first bottle was gone I found great relief.
I continued using it until I had taken eight bottles. Now I am very well and can do my own housework. I can gladly recommend Lydia E. Pinkham's medicine to suffering women." — Mrs. BERTHA LIERING, R.F.D., Ravenswood, W.Va.
The ordinary day of most housewives is a ceaseless treadmill of washing, cooking, cleaning, mending, sweeping, dusting and caring for little ones. How much harder the tasks when some derangement of the system causes headaches, backaches, bearing-down pains and nervousness. Every such woman should profit by Mrs. Liering's experience. Remember this, for over forty years Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound has been restoring health.

IF KIDNEYS AND BLADDER BOTHER
Take a glass of Salts to flush out your Kidneys and neutralize irritating acids.
Kidney and Bladder weakness result from uric acid, says a noted authority. The kidneys filter this acid from the blood and pass it on to the bladder, where it often remains to irritate and inflame, causing a burning, scalding sensation, or setting up an irritation at the neck of the bladder, obliging you to seek relief two or three times during the night. The sufferer is in constant dredge, the water passes sometimes with a scalding sensation and is very profuse; again, there is difficulty in avoiding it.
Bladder weakness, most folks call it because they can't control urination. While it is extremely annoying and sometimes very painful, this is really one of the most simple saliments to overcome. Get about four ounces of Jad Salts from your pharmacist and take a table-spoonful in a glass of water before breakfast, continue this for two or three days. This will neutralize the acids in the urine so it no longer is a source of irritation to the bladder and urinary organs which then set normally again.
Jad Salts is inexpensive, harmless, and is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and is used by thousands of folks who are subject to urinary disorders caused by uric acid irritation. Jad Salts is splendid for kidneys and causes no bad effects whatever.
Here you have a pleasant, effervescent lithia-water drink, which quickly relieves bladder trouble.

Talks About Building
If you are not a home-owner today you have a choice of two courses of action.
You can continue to pay rent. The country is short thousands of homes and until people like you build homes for themselves rents will continue to advance. You can pay the increases and suffer the inconveniences and uneasiness of renting—on a gambling chance that later on your home will cost a few dollars less than now.
You can buy or build a home. Building costs have been reduced. A substantial part of every payment—paid like rent—goes to reduce your indebtedness. These amounts, which, otherwise, you would be paying your landlord, will more than offset any probably further reductions in building costs for some time to come, and in a few years will make you a home-owner.
We believe there are many good citizens in this community whose best interests demand that they build a home for them selves. If you are one of them we should like to talk it over.
