FULLERTON (OCNS) — A building permit application for a $725,000 office and manufacturing plant in the southeast industrial section for Pacific Hawaiian Products Co., was submitted to the city Tuesday morning.
The structure is to be built at the northeast corner of Acacia and Ross Aves., immediately north of the railroad spur track. Plans show it will contain 168 rooms in $8,000 square feet, of tilt-up construction with 1½ stories.

Railroad Sues County,
Cities for Tax Money
SANTA ANA (OCNS) — The Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe Railroad Co. is seeking the return of $106,020.38 in taxes from the county and seven cities.
The public utility firm contends it was charged 50 per cent of the market value of its property while the state wide local rate were only 23.7.
Named as defendants (with the amount sought by the plaintiffs are the county, $92,940.38; Ana $5,367.27; Buena Park, $271.75; Orange, $1,641.82; San Clemente $1,453.58; Santa Ana, $2,582.08; and Placentia, $79.38).
The plaintiff claims the 50 percent rate, which was paid under protest, is illegal and contrary to state and federal laws.
A similar suit, asking the return of $146,049, was filed recently by four other utilities in Superior Court here.
