A.B.—Anahaim (Col.) Bulletin Monday, April 27, 1950 Counties To Clean May will be Clean Up, Fix Up, Fix Up Month in Southern California. The intensive community tification and improvement program which is part of a wide campaign, is sponsored by the Southern California Clean Paint Up, Fix Up Committee. Wilbur S. Johnson, general chairman, has announced that campaign is designed to engage all citizens to join in a effort to improve the appearance of their homes, the neighborhood in which they live and their munities. “This all - out drive will not only in civic beautification improvement.” Johnson put out, “but also it will help prevent fires, safeguard health, protect safety, increase property value and build ideals of good city ship.” Gloria Neil, 18, has been selected as "Miss Clean Up, Paint Fix Up" to call attention to coordinated community efforts. Citizen committees are harmed. 'GET OUT OF TOWN' — Pretty Gloria Neil, 18, has this word of caution for Harry Moon, dressed to symbolize the city's neglected and littered areas. The two posed to call attention to Clean Up, Paint Up, Fix Up Month, intensive beautification and improvement program, which will be observed throughout Southern California in May. Grove Man, Daughter File Suit For Injuries SANTA ANA (OCNS) — The father of a 14-year-old Garden Grove girl injured in an automobile accident of last year has filed a $100,000 personal injury suit in superior court here. Alzie L. Manshack, the father of Caroline Sue Manshack, 10502 Woodbury Rd., claims the girl was seriously injured in an accident on Westminster at Flower St., in Santa Ana. He named as the defendants Walter W. Woolery, and the Excelsior Milk Co., Limited. Woolery, an employee of the milk firm was the driver of the vehicle that collided with a car driven by Edith La Verne Taylor. The Garden Grove girl was the passenger in the vehicle. The campaign in the city of Los Angeles is under the sponsorship of the Los Angeles Beautiful Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. Federal Aid Asked By State School Districts SACRAMENTO (UP1) — A total of 498 California school districts want their coffers sweetened by Uncle Sam for the 1958-59 school year. The Department of Education said the districts, in 41 counties, had filed applications for help under a federal law providing aid for areas affected by federal work projects. Reward Offered for Capture of Poisonous Agents By Orange County News Service Buena Park Police officials told Orange County News Service today a $5,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest of the slayer of two El Segundo police officers in the early morning hours of July 22 of last year. Being offered by the Los Angeles County Peace Protective Association, the offer stands for one year. The suspect is described as male white, 25 to 30 years of age, 6 feet, 175 pounds, light brown hair, athletic build, with a slight southern accent.
