I see nothing wrong with that, but I have an inquiry about stopping a dog from trying to get up on the bed at night. The dog keeps trying so persistently, the people finally give in. The solution is simple — instead of trying to stop the dog, coax him up on the bed with you. Then, squirm around under the covers until you've pushed him slowly around and off again. He'll quickly learn it's no fun at all, sleeping on the bed with you. But — make sure he has a bed of his own. Never heard of a proven case of extra-sensory perception in a dog. His normal senses differ from the human's, and often give the impression of the presence of a sixth sense. If he knows Daddy is coming home from work before Daddy's car is even in sight — a tune-up on the car will fool him. His hearing is ten times as good as yours. Fresh Water It's easy to neglect your dog, and too many dog owners do that frequently. Your dog must have fresh water — change the water in his dish frequently so he has a constant water supply that is fresh and clean. When your dog is kept in the yard, be sure he has shade available. Don't neglect watching for complete loss of shade in the middle of the day, when the sun is directly overhead. Have an inquiry regarding a German shepherd that seems to be constantly shedding. The owners have reached the point where they are about to stop letting the dog in the house because of the dog hair all over the rugs ... Give the dog a good brushing, several times a week. Add a product like Lina-tone (available at most pet shops) to his food. Add the raw yellow of an egg to his meal, once or twice a week. If excessive shedding persists, have a vet examine your dog. New item on the market — artificial bone, impregnated with odor of ham. Practically indestructible, but if your dog manages to finally eat part of it, it won't hurt him at all. The dogs love it. Comes in small and large size, costs less than $1. Training Food Some dog owners have asked about training a dog to refuse food from strangers and to refuse to pick up food from the ground. This training is quick and easy — but before you do it, remember that your dog will then refuse to eat if you ever have to leave him at a kennel, or with a vet. Play it safe — thieves are almost constantly at work, stealing dogs from cars. An inexpensive and efficient alarm system for your car might save your dog. Do you have a feeding problem with your dog? Four-Year-Old Gives Measles to Nine People SYRACUSE, N. Y. (UPI)—Four-year-old Chuck Thrall, who was taken to police headquarters after being found wandering near his home early one morning, exposed at least nine persons to his measles before his father arrived to fetch him back home. Next day, Chuck managed to set fire to his mattress and suffered first and second degree burns. United States National President Melvin Wilson said the Long Beach bank had two locations.
