SA Anti-Litter Trial Continued by Court
By Orange County News Service
Santa Ana's littering campaign against the West Orange Publishing Co. will be continued April 13 it was decided Thursday in the Santa Ana - Orange Municipal Court by Judge Howard C. Cameron.
Attorney Willard Pool, representing the defendants, and Santa Ana City Attorney, John Colwell will file a stipulation of facts and then submit the case on written briefs followed by oral arguments if necessary. It was agreed Thursday.
The publishing firm has denied the littering charges and has indicated it plans to make a "test case" out of the proceedings.
The defendant is charged with violating an ordinance of long standing which prohibits the littering of lawns with handbills advertising circulars, and throwaway newspapers.
The publishing firm in addition to the Garden Grove Daily News publishes a throw-away stopper which is distributed on a throwaway basis.
The firm has also been taken to court on the same offense in Fullerton.

Among the county installations near the hospital are the juvenile home, the county radio station.
Report Cancer Returns Under Severe Strain
By DELOS SMITH*
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, M.
(UPI)—Here are two new astonishing facts about people and cancer:
After long lapses cancer can back in six persons while they were under severe emotional strain.
The blood of a woman whose cancer had been arrested for long time killed re-awakening cancer cells more efficiently than best cancer cell-killing drug.
Dr. Oscar Creech Jr., of Tulsa University, New Orleans, who closed these facts, had no explanation for the first beyond its obvious suggestion that the emotional mind is known influence many body functions can also influence the body's lations with its own cancer parasite.
The second, Creech took more confirmation of what practically all cancer doctors have come to believe. The body's natural chemical defenses against cancer just as it against bacterial and virus diseases. Bacteria and viruses rouse those defense and further invasions by the particular bacteria or viruses stopped cold.
Creech and other cancer scientists on the newest in cancer research at a seminar sponsored by American Cancer Society, agree the defenses exist and a thorough understanding of them could make them usable and go far in quering cancer.
That would lead to vaccines prevent cancer. Cancer experts are convinced that cancer is not one disease but many, since cancer cells are so diverse and have so differently, and that would have to be many more.

Debate on Rose Dr. Rerouting Scheduled
SANTA ANA (OCNS) — Rerouting of Rose Drive in the Olinda area will be debated here April 29 in a public hearing before the County Planning Commission.
The relocation is necessary because the Carbon Creek Dam will be built on the present right of way.
Under consideration at the April 29 public hearing will be the construction of Rose Drive southeast from the intersection of Valencia Ave. and Brea-Olinda Blvd. to the present path of Rose Drive near Imperial Hwy.
Planners See Pictures In Rezoning Study
SANTA ANA (OCNS)—Colored photographic slides of various streets in the western part of the county were used this week by the County Planning Commission to evaluate a proposed change in zoning.
First the planners looked at detailed, colored maps that showed the existing zoning of every parcel of land within the area proposed for rezoning.
A member of the planning staff projected the colored slides upon a screen and pointed to each street on the map as a view of that street was shown.
The innovation enables planners to get a better idea of the character of a neighborhood than could be obtained solely with the use of a map.
Several photographs showed streets where the houses have deteriorated to the point where the neighborhood probably would be better off if it were rezoned for uses other than residential.
Chiropractor Bail OK'd In Non-Support Charge
SANTA ANA (OCNS) — A La Habra chiropractor was arrested yesterday by sheriff's deputies on a non-support warrant. He is Dr. Alfred Royal Antles, 32, 220 E Central, who is out on bail.
When the authorities arrest him, he complained to deputies that he just paid the support payments. Charges against the man are expected to be dropped.
