Miss Terri Emerson Becomes Mrs. Kenneth Dale Admire Wearing an exquisitely fashioned gown in blush pink nylon tulle, and lace over taffeta, created after the enchanting dress worn by the star in "The Glass Slipper," Miss Terri Mac Emerson stood before the altar of the First Presbyterian church of this city to say her marriage vows with Kenneth Dale Admire from Torrance. The beauty of the gown was enhanced by the reflection of the afternoon sun through the sanctuary windows as the Rev. Roland Anderson performed the four o'clock double ring ceremony. Shirred panels, caught to the bouffant skirt deep flounce with clusters of tiny pink rose buds and pale-toned apple blossoms, accented the elegance of the bridal dress, the sweetheart neckline and short lace sleeves giving a portrait appearance. A delicately woven queen's crown, patterned with four petaled flowers and banded with a tiny rope of pearls, held the bride's misty veil to her hair with the bouquet of the palest of pink carnations and white stephanotis styled in teardrop design. A single strand of pearls, a gift from her bridegroom, was her jewelled adornment. Candles in Cathedral candelabra at the altar and at the aisle edge burned throughout the ceremony with the four huge baskets, filled with pink and white summer blossoms, completing the altar decorations. The long church aisleway was carpeted in white with bows tied to the aisle candelabra. Brocaded Gowns The bride's attendants wore brocaded gowns, beautifully fashioned with surplus front and very full waist length skirts. Short white mitts and brocaded slippers were the accessories with the beaded head-dresses princess crowns holding tiny double veils matching the ENCHANTING ELEGANCE—Miss Terri Mac Emerson's bridal dress, designed in likeness to the gown worn by the star in "The Glass Slipper" and her misty veil, had a portrait beauty of modern fashion. Brocaded Gowns The bride's attendants wore brocaded gowns, beautifully fashioned with surplus front and very full waist length skirts. Short white mitts and brocaded slippers were the accessories with the beaded head-dresses princess crowns holding tiny double veils matching the shade of their dresses. Sister of the bride, Miss Deana Mae Emerson served as the maid of honor, her ensemble in pale coral tone. Miss Jeanne Barnwell of Garden Grove, dressed in a lavender gown, and Miss Mae Okuda of West Anaheim, wearing a yellow formal, were bridesmaids. Miss Emerson carried a crescent-shaped basket, trimmed with a coral tulle ruffle with gladioli and stock attractively arranged in it. Similar baskets, the tulle and flowers trim matching the shade of their gowns, were carried by the bridesmaids. Niece of the bridegroom, young Miss Laurina Admire of Anaheim, dressed in a frock of baby blue dotted nylon over pink underdress served as flower girl. Her white basket, accented with pink tulle ruffle was filled with pink rose petals. Attending to groomsman duties was Leland Griffin from Torrance with Garth Emerson, brother of the bride, and Raymond Holder of Wilmington, acting as ushers. Mrs. William Talevich was the nuptial organist with songs played before the appearance of the bride favorites of the young couple. Church Garth Reception Garth of the church was the scene for the reception with the parents of the bridal couple, Mr. and Mrs. Melford Emerson of 197 Chateau Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Troy Knapp of Torrance receiving the guests with the new Mr. and Mrs. Admire. The tailored brocaded fawn colored gown worn by Mrs. Emerson was a delightful contrast to the navy taffeta and lace dress chosen by Mrs. Knapp for the wedding festivities. Mrs. Emerson pinned a bronze cymbidium corsage to the lapel of her matching duster, the accessory to her ensemble. Pink carnations formed Mrs. Knapp's corsage. Hostesses for the affair were from the church with Miss Roddi Emerson, another sister of the bride, dressed in a pink brocaded summer blossoms in her bouquet. Ushering was done by Bill Willis of Anaheim and Jack Ashbaugh of Newport Beach. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Kranz chose a princess styled dress in white with a gold woven thread its accent. White eyelet dress was worn by the bridegroom’s mother. Red roses formed their corsages. Home Reception Reception took place at the Kranz home with pink and white theme carried out in decorations. An aunt of the bride, Mrs. Mae Cassero from Hollydale, and a childhood friend, Mrs. Jack Ashbaugh from Newport Beach were hostesses. August 1 is the date the new Mr. and Mrs. Johnston will be at home to their friends at their home, 555 Alamitos Ave., Long Beach. They are now on their honeymoon, destination not disclosed.
