Dance Recital Set for Beach Auditorium "A Holiday in the South Seas" is the theme of the recital being given tonight by the dancers from the Val Moore Hawaiian Dance studios at the Long Beach Municipal auditorium, the time eight o'clock. Dances will include interpretations from the Philppines, Samoan Islands, Tahiti and five of the eight islands in the Hawaiian group. Fluorescent numbers, comedy, and instruments used in the Hawaiian dances, including the "Kae-keeke", the Hawaiian pipe organ will add to the program. Also performing will be the members of the "Hoaloha Club," who are taught the Hula at each meeting. The Rev. Paul Benefiel officiated at the double ring ceremony. Given away by her father the bride was lovely in her Chantilly lace gown, entrain, with underskirt of satin. She carried a bouquet of a white orchid and stephanotis with white streamers. Miss Claudette Lucas, maid of honor, wearing yellow taffeta over net carrying azalea colored carnations, was in contrast to the bridesmaids gowns. Mrs. James Kuhlmann Jr., and Miss Jessica Spear, dressed in aqua taffeta formals over net and carrying yellow carnations were other attendants and the ushers were Robert Clarkson and Bert Szathmary. Petite flower girls, Cheryl and Sandra Accosta, were dressed in yellow frocks. The bride's mother selected a pink lace dress with pink accessories with a deep rose carnation corsage for the wedding while the bridegroom's mother chose a matching blue lace dress with pink accessories, she wore a pink carnation corsage. The wedding background was arrangements of white gladioli, two-tone pink asters and candlelabra. Musical setting included Duane VeDel singing the "Lord's Prayer," and "Reason." Whittier New Prof Named Dr. Paul A. Albrecht has been appointed to the Whittier College faculty as assistant professor of psychology, it has been announced by President Paul S. Smith. Albrecht, currently research associate and director of communications projects, Industrial Relations Center, University of Chicago, will join the Whittier faculty in September. A graduate of Bethel College, in Kansas, he received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago. She was dressed in a yellow-toned gown and carried yellow carnations in her bouquet. Bridesmaid was Lydia Ann Jahr, her blue dress, a lovely contrast to the maid of honor's gown. In her bouquet were pink carnations. Bestman was Alvin McGinnes of Artesia with William Scholtz of Pasadena as usher. Wedding Songs "I Love You Truly," and "The Lord's Prayer" were the wedding songs with Judy Stearns serving as the nuptial organist. Singer was Ray Morford. Tobin, Mrs. M. Szathmary and Mrs. R. Carroll. For their honeymoon at Elsinore, the new Mrs. Davison changed to a navy blue suit with white accessories and her white orchid from her bridal bouquet. They will reside at 610 South Poplar Ave., Brea. The bride is a graduate of Whittier Union High school, and her bridegroom is a Brea-Ollinda high school graduate. He has served two years in the U.S. Army and is now employed at Chiksan. Albrecht, who wrote his Ph.D. dissertation on the topic "A Study of the Personality Changes Resulting from a Training Program in Human Relations Skills for Industrial Executives," has a wide background in the field of industrial relations and during the fall will offer a course in industrial psychology under Whittier's Extended Day program. The new faculty member is married, and the father of one child. Enrollment Gains At N.C. Campuses A 27 per cent gain in the 1955 Summer Sessions enrollment on all campuses of the University of California over the same period last year has been reported by President Robert G. Sproul. Preliminary registration figures show a total of 13,042 students compared with 10,262 registered at this point in 1954.
