Doris Grivey Weds Frank Miser at Yuma Green Chapel; Couple Now at Home to Fri-
STANTON — One of the sentimental high points of fun-ding anniversaries observed by the new Mr. and Mrs. Pranser, will be when they listen to the recording of their recen-rites.
The ceremony, at Yuma, Ariz-,ous Gretna Green Wedding chapel and was witnessed by close friends and the bridegroom's mother. Mrs. Jay Miser of Sunnymead, Calif. The Rev. C. S. Mun-dell officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride, the former Miss Doris Lorraine Grivey, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christy Grivey, 10501 South Magnolia, Stanton.
Bride Wears Blue
For her wedding she chose a gown of pastel blue orgyandy over crisp blue taffeta with bour-fant, street length skirt, fitted bodice and off - shoulder collar. She carried a white Bible, her bride-grooms' wedding gift, centered by an exquisite orchid. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls, also a gift of the bridegroom, and a dainty pearl brooch which once belonged to her great grandmother. Other sentimental accents remembered were a penny, dated 1855, worn in her slipper and the traditional blue garter, into which she had tucked a dainty flower that had adorned her mother's wedding ensemble.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Charles Stockon, nee Jeanette Allen, of Seal Beach. Her gown of palest yellow was styled the same as that of the bride. She too carried an orchid.
Dick Robinson of Brawley, brother - in - law of the bridegroom, attended to groomsman's duties.
For her son's wedding, Mrs. Miser chose a street length gown of summer blue with white accessories.
Wedding Supper at Brawley
Following the ceremony the wedding party traveled to Brawley and the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kemp, sister and brother-

Bruce Linton spoke to the Cypress Kiwanis Club at their meeting last week and told the group several interesting experiences that he had while he was in Africa.
He related that while he was in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; he was told that there is no water system, or drainage or sewer system, and in the evening, the residents merely dump all of their garbage into the streets. During the night, the hyenas from the nearby jungle come into town, clean up every last bit of garbage, and then leave. In the morning everything is neat and tidy again.
The Women's Community Club of Cypress will meet next Tuesday June 15, at the Chungking restaurant in Anaheim for a luncheon of Chinese food, followed by their regular business meeting.
Mrs. Arthur Collins, chairman of the hostess committee, requests that all those planning to go or are planning to take a guest to the 1 p.m. luncheon, please contact her so that reservations can be made.
Assisting Mrs. Collins in the hostess duties are Mmes. Georgie Wlaschin, Dorothy Jenson, Dorothy Denney, and Flora Corby.
