Local Man Acquitted On Burglary Charge
SANTA ANA — A jury deliberating an hour and 25 minutes found Harlow Peter Tobey of Anaheim not guilty of the burglary he was charged with because a fingerprint found at the scene matched his own fingerprints.
Tobey was charged with the Feb. 13 burglary of the home of Clayton Gear, 2245 North Park Blvd., Santa Ana. However, he denied being in Santa Ana at the time of the burglary and his wife substantiated his claim.
Deputy District Attorney Julius Austero charged that fingerprints removed on the inside of a broken window at the Gear residence, proved Tobey participated in the burglary.
The defense was handled by Attorney Z. B. West.

Anaheim Is Really on the March!
People from all over the country are eyeing Orange County and there must be a reason for all this attention.
People from all over the country are eyeing Orange County and there must be a reason for all this attention.
Yes, there is a reason, in fact there are many reasons — Let’s take a look at the record and see for ourselves.
For the last few years the population of Northern Orange County has increased by leaps and bounds. — New industries have chosen this area for their headquarters, and with new industry comes the people who must manage it, people who make the wheels go ‘round, and their families. Building permits are being issued at a record pace to keep up with the influx.
People have a tendency to seek bright, cheerful surrounding in which to rear their families—Therefore, a movement from the more crowded Metropolitan areas to the homey, smog-free districts surrounding a huge city. Anaheim is ideally situated to fulfill such a desire — Close enough to the Metropolitan area for easy commuting — Far enough away to allow for pleasant suburban living.
The local business people have long been aware of the strategic importance of Anaheim’s location
