Mason, who will be American Motors first chairman and president. Released for public distribution are thousands of uninsured 1953 model cars. According to sales people these cars will be sold at $100.00 to $700.00 below manufacturer's costs. This means actual savings to retail purchasers of $1000.00 to $1400.00 off list prices. Nash building facilities are filled with Statesman and Ambassador models, very few Ramblers. Actual sale will be handled by a local dealer in each area. Because of the unprecedented policy of selling brand new cars far below actual manufacturing cost, all cars are expected to be sold within 10 days. Orders and sales in Los Angeles area will be handled by Degnan Motors, old established Nash agency, a $401 W. 43rd Street, just off Cresnahaw Boulevard. As an extra saving to Los Angeles purchaser the normal freight markup from Kenosha, Wisc., will not be charged. Degnan Motors officials stated. Mail orders will be filled as long as the supply lasts.
