THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1925 THE FAIR BIG-CHILDREN'S PROGRAM TONIGHT (Continued from Page One) which means, "Thou art weighed in the balances and art found wanting." Babylon was the pride of the Oriental world. No city of such grandeur and splendor had ever before been seen upon the earth nor has been since. It stood 60 miles in circumference, with inner and outer walls of unequaled strength, and the warriors of that day believed that it would never be entered. The hanging gardens, the artificial mountains, the great Temple of Belus and the great architectural works have never seen a peer. Belishazzar's feasting room, where the尝e of the text occurred was 1650 feet wide, and a mile long. Babylon had ruled the world, and had obtained the money for these great expenditures from a 40 to 50 per cent income tax on all the products of the soil of her conquered provinces. But all this went down in the dust because she became corrupt, forgot God and sank in sonnual debauchery. The evangelist hinged his sermon on four points: When God writes, men had better stop to read; the pleasure of the wicked is short; the law of God is inevitable; and God has written. He said he had rather lose than win unfairly because it will react. You can't fool God. His law is inevitable and the thing that you do will fall back onto you. Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap, and that in compound interest: I'm tired of hearing people talk about this great civilization. Greater, better and bigger civilizations than this have perished because men forgot God, and this nation is growing corrupt for the same reason. You can't hardly find a man fit for presidential Obtains Trace of Father by Radio LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5—A request went over the radio today for George LeMont of Vallejo to get in touch with his family, now living in Los Angeles. Last night Suzette LeMont, the man's daughter, was listening to a local broadcasting station. Immediately Miss LaMont recognized the name as that of her father, missing nine years. She got in touch with the broadcasting station but the address of LeMont in Vallejo could not be furnished her. So today, a request was broadcast for LeMont to get in touch with his family here. NOME ANTITOXIN NEARLY ALL GONE (Continued from Page One) The death of Mrs. R. C. He said he had rather lose than to win unfairly because it will react. You can't fool God. His law is inevitable and the thing that you do will fall back onto you. Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap, and that in compound interest I'm tired of hearing people talk about this great civilization. Greater, better and bigger civilizations than this have perished because men forgot God, and this nation is growing corrupt for the same reason. You can't hardly find a man fit for presidential timber any more. I can remember when hundreds of men could have been found in either party who would have made a good president but you don't see that now. He pleaded with fathers to give their boys pure blood, and a praying father. God has written in nature. All nature declares there is a God, but nature doesn't teach us the love of God. God has written in the Bible, and there He is revealed as a God of love. He has written in conscience, but the man who constantly hardens his heart shall be cut down suddenly and without remedy. And He has written in afflictions, which make us more tender, bigger and better men and women. Carter led in singing "Lord, I'm Coming Home." Several, including a number of young people, hit the sawdust trail. Prayer services for today were announced by Rev. Virgil Ledbetter, who said: "Regardless of your politics you can't get along without prayer, and you can't get along without God." He said the prayer services had been a success. Carter dismissed the services. P.E.CAR HITS AUTO Miss Lillian Schultes of Orange received bruises about her face and head and her knee was cut, and R. P.
