Elections were held for delegates to conventions and Rev. A.G.H.Bode was elected to the Synod of the Pacific Province. He also moved a resolution of greeting to the assembly of the Salvation Army meeting in Los Angeles, which was carried unanimously. Tonight the Episcopal convention ended with a dinner of the Girls' Society to which Miss Judith Hill, Miss Margaret Hill, Mrs.A.G.H.Bode and Miss Caroline and Dorothy Bde are delegates. The most striking feature of the week's meetings was the dramatic presentation of the philanthropic work of the Episcopal church. Instead of usual reports demonstrations were given by the Little folks of the Church Home for Children showing breakfast at the home, and by the Seamen checking dunnage and receiving mail after a voyage and helping in a concert at the Institute at San Pedro. The Nurses of the Good Samaritan Hospital showed some of their work, and other institutions contributed to make a most interesting evening. Negro Singers "The Cotton Blossom Singers" of The Pinet Woods School Braxton, Misa., will be at the Presbyterian Church Monday evening in a program of negro folk songs, tunes and melodies. A rare treat is in store for all who hear them. They have sung to crowded houses all over the country. The most economical little salesman is a Class Ad in this paper.
