A NEW era dawned yesterday for Fullerton zebel club when the commodious new club home was dedicated with interesting ceremonies and before a capacity assembly.

Mrs. Arbort Lauher presided.
The past presidents were seated on the platform and each told of outstanding events during her regina, each placing a log upon the heap in the fireplace. Then to Mrs. J. W. itemahaw, first president of Ebell, fell the honor of lighting the first fire, indicating a very pretty sentiment.
Through efforts of Miss Mackey, of Fullerton district Americanization activities, Prof. Joseph Berchus, head of the University of Music, in Mexico City, was present, playing a number of original compositions, of which he has composed many. Other musical numbers were contributed by Fullerton talent.

HOW PRETTY CLAIR WINDSOR KEEPS FIT
JUST what attributes are necessary for a girl to achieve fame and fortune in the motion picture industry is a question subject to much debate. The ablest of critics state that to become a star in her own right, "My Lady," must have grace of figure, poise, and other feminine charms as well as features which lend kindly to the critical eye of the camera.
"All of which is perfectly true," agreed the winsome Miss Claire Windsor when interviewed recently at her home in Hollywood. "but there is something more vital than looks with which a girl must be endowed before she can achieve the title of "star"—and that is good health."
"Everyone is entitled to good health,' declared Miss Windsor as she sat on the porch of her spacious bungalow. She spoke earnestly, almost pausing occasionally to glance over the lawn where romped "Billy'" with his newly acquired Russian wolf hound dog. "Billy," you know, is the young son of this charming young actress, and truly he bears his mother's winning smile and charm.
"Many a young girl's career in pictures has been spoiled because she did not have the health to stand up under the long hours and hard work necessary before one can become recognized," continued Miss Windsor. "In my opinion there is more disease and ill health caused by bad habits of thought, insufficient exercise and wrong eating than any other reason. It stands to reason that mother nature did not intend for us to load our system with the terribly poor food combinations which we find on the fashionable table today. Is it any wonder for all evils and it's a simple one at that. Live a good sensible, healthy life, and above all eat right. In your home choose a well-balanced diet of plain foods, and—oh, yes, do not forget the oranges!"" "Why, oh, beg your pardon?" We looked around us as if to follow out her thought, for she had emphasized the "Do not forget the oranges," and possibly we—noticing our look of slight bewilderment, our hostess laughed joyously and shining white rows of her perfect teeth glistened in the sunlight. You see, not only do I love the delicious flavor of oranges, but believe them to be the most important part of my diet. Oranges before breakfast, oranges for lunch, oranges between meals and oranges before retiring. And Sonny eats about as many as I do."
"Seriously, I never realized how healthy these 'globes of gold' were until my dietitian gave me a severe lecture about them one day. He said they contained all kinds of health-giving properties, and urged me to eat lots of them and often. Why he even made me drink 'orange punches' and guess how they were made. Oranges mixed with rich milk. Can you imagine it? They really are awfully good and 'Billy' is just crazy about them.
"Dr. Frank McCoy, the 'Orange Juice' doctor of Los Angeles, is the dietitian and food expert who started me eating oranges, and they certainly have done wonders for me. The doctor is regularly in charge of my diet and 'Billy' and I believe now if he told us to eat weeds we would. He does not prescribe things, though, nor does he cut out of our diet any staple products. He tells us that..."

Many a young girl's career in pictures has been spoiled because she did not have the health to stand up under the long hours and hard work necessary before one can become recognized," continued Miss Windsor. "In my opinion there is more disease and ill health caused by bad habits of thought, insufficient exercise and wrong eating than any other reason.
It stands to reason that mother nature did not intend for us to load our system with the terribly poor food combinations which we find on the fashionable table today. Is it any wonder that people have so many complaints today?
This was indeed interesting to us, and we were rather surprised. "But, Miss Windsor," we asked, "what is your panacea for good health?"
"Panacea is right," she replied laughingly, "there really is a cure you seems to be worse than the average because of your lack of hearing. That would be a great handicap wherever you went, and therefore I would advise you to remain in your home, making even greater effort to keep harmony and to get along with your husband tactfully. Do not be satisfied with keeping the baby well dressed, but make greater effort to improve your own appearance. I believe you will have more happiness from looking well than you will have from entertaining your husband's relatives for dinner.
Invite people in for a cup of tea. In that way you will have companionship and it will not cost so much. Surely you know that there are certain things which irritate your husband and therefore you should try to eliminate friction wherever possible. Also take great pride in your home and feel your life work is there. Even if your husband does not respond to your effort, undear yourself to your child through poise and gentleness. Your life can be rich if you refuse to recognize its handicaps and only realize how fortunate you are in comparison with many others.
