It has two soft brown eyes, is plump and sleek, wears a beautiful coal-black fur coat, and has a strong penchant for sea food. In short, it is Freddie, a trained seal, whom Thomas H. Ince is introducing to the picture world in the title role of "The Galloping Fish," a First National comedy with Louise Fazenda and Ford Sterling, now playing at the California theatre. Freddie is about the smartest thing in the animal world, according to his director, Del Andrews, and Louise Fazenda, who had much difficult work to do with "The Galloping Fish," agrees. He's just a natural born comedian and simply can't help being funny," says Andrews. "He seems to get the point of a funny situation quicker than many of the human members of the cast, and is always ready to supply a 'gag' that never was written into the script. As a matter of fact, a lot of the fun that appears in 'The Galloping Fish,' was figuratively speaking, written into the script by Freddie himself." "Freddie" will make another personal appearance tonight and be on hand to entertain kids tomorrow. A novelty reel, "The Chase," shows life in the Alps; the keeping contents and other slow sports.
