BREA, Aug. 1.—(Spl.)—Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Luckenbach announces the wedding of their daughter Henen to J. C. Vance, the 20th of August, 1924.
Wednesday morning 2 o clock a family from Sedro Wooley, Washington, came driving through Brea and located themselves on S. Walnut-st. at the R. N. Donielley home. Mr. and Mrs. Dameley are rejoiced to have the daughter, Mrs. David Finsen, her husband and son Earl Johnson visit them.
Miss Lillian Severson spent last week in Los Angeles with her cousin, Miss Carroll Fossen.
The Summer Vacation Bible School opened Monday morning at the Laurel Heights School. There are twenty teachers or more. Mrs. Montague from Washington will be the dean this year, and Mr. Montague will be in charge of the boys about 120 pupils enrolled. Every forenoon for five days in the week for several weeks will be used for this Bible school.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Zingleman and brother Leroy will motor to Pasadena tonight to visit Mr. Zingleman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zingleman.
Miss Margaret Sechrist is able to go to Torrance for a visit with friends for several days, with Mrs. Paul Pettitt and family.
Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Phone and son Albert, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Grant and family, and Mrs. Mandle Wallace, left Sunday afternoon on a camming trip over the Plute Pass to French Canyon, they had to leave their cars and pack in, they will be gone two weeks or longer.
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Phelps spent the week end at Big Bear Lake and left Tuesday for San Diego, where they will remain for several days. Mrs. Jennie Swoop took care of the children while they were at Big Bear.
Several Brea folk attended the W. R. C. meeting at Riverside Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Alec Kuenzil and children May Bell and Ethel and Mrs. Jennie Swoop, Mrs. Daul and her staff convention held in the Christian church. Monday was women's United Missionary day and many were in attendance from all over the state. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Bagley of Los Angeles put on a most wonderful jubilee pageant and every foreign nation was represented by song and people. Those who viewed the pageant from Brea were Rev. W. E. Spices Mesdames C. R. Merrifield, Grace Hartfield, Clara Buquist, Clara McClure, Mrs. H. E. DeFrance and Mr. and Mrs. M. Chambers.
Max Nesbitt was a Long Beach visitor for several days this week with his aunt, Mrs. Gilbert Cole.
Mr. and Mrs. Walt Smith and son Raymond, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Leach, Frankle Hatfield, Charlie Hood, Madeline Toussau and Rosie Alice left Sunday for Newport Beach where they will spend a month or more.
Mrs. Gilbert Cole and daughter Dorothy of Long Beach were dinner guests Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Nesbitt.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Summons and mother, Mrs. A. J. Hulsy, motored to Burbank recently on business.
Otis Kesler from Long Beach spent the week with Henry Sexton on South Flower-st. Mr. Sexton has added a front porch to his house and it is a great improvement.
Jerry Woodward spent several days on Orange Lease with her little friend Helen Pursley last week.
Mrs. John Reed and daughter Lols and Jerry Woodward, were visitors with Mrs. Julia Bye, Mrs Reed's mother, recently at Lompoc.
President of the International Oil Workers Union, R.H. Stickel was a recent visitor at Jim Grewco's home on S. Pomona-ave.

Mr. A. V. Sulliyan is able to Sunday was a great day at the G.C.Wilson home up Brea County. Several relatives and friends gathered in and surprised the Mr. and Mrs. W.B.Wilson, M.Mandrs.J.A.Wilson and M.Mandrs.W.S.Gee,and families all of Los Angeles, Arizona,and G.Goodwin and the Misses Daley and Theima Flitzsimmons Fullerton.
Mr. and Mrs.A.B.Bowle are little Bobble and Ituta Sexton at spending Thursday and Friday at Long Beach and Lometa,will visit Mrs.Vern Zuver before retiring home.

The Standard Oil Co. employees are doing a real act of kindness for some friends on S. Orange-st. Mrs. Smith who lost her husband a short time ago who was working for the Standard Oil Co.
The house is all remodeled and the surroundings being beautiful, walks, etc.
The Chase reunion at Long Beach Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Brawley and children, Lucile, Vesta and Charles and Ray, Mr. and Mrs. Si Delaney and baby from the G. and L. Lease, Mr. and Mrs. Delaney on Popular street. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sutliff and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Kaylor. They had a wonderful day.
A jolly crowd motored up Santa Ana canyon Sunday and enjoyed a picnic lunch. Mr. and Mrs. H.E. DeFrance and children Hilka, Sarah, Maudie, Bernice and Edward and Merle Sutliff and Mr. and Mrs. S.E. Manning and children.
G.W. Snavley decided he would go back to his old home place and spend a month or more and meet relatives and friends that he has not seen for 40 years. He will leave about Aug. 1st for Warren, Penn.
Many Brea Folk were in attendance at the K.K.K. meeting in Anaheim Park.

Mrs.Charles S.Taylor had the pleasure of receiving a letter over the Airplane from Omaha, Newraska from her daughter, Mrs.C.F.Slooson, for her birthday leisure it took 16 cents to bring it to Mr.Mrs.Munger of Whittier were recent Brea visitors.

THIRD COMMITTEE IS IN AGREEMENT
LONDON, Aug. 1—The committee of the allied rangers conference this afternoon reached an agreement upon a dawes plan at any time in the future.
So far, however, there has no agreement upon the quail of transfers.

L.A.MAN DIES IN DENVER ACCIDENT
DENVER, Aug. 1—An unexplained auto accident William Powell Luckett, 20 Los Angeles is dead and an identified Denver girl is dying General Hospital here today.
The two were found early morning beside a wrecked car Inspiration Point, a scenic spot outskirts of this city.
Both were found to have tured skulls. Luckett died early after reaching the hospital physicians say the girl cannot cover.
