BOY SLAYERS TO
TRIAL AUGUST 4
CHICAGO, June 11.—Nathan Leopold, Jr., and Richard Loeh confirmed slayers of 13-year-old Robert Franks, will go to trial on charges of murder and kidnapping for rapeson, August 4.
Arrested this morning before Chief Justice Caverly of the criminal court, the youths pleaded not guilty and hoard the date of their trial set.
The largest crowd ever jammed into the criminal court witnessed the arraignment.
The long legal struggle for the Bess of two boys with millions behind them, for murder, got under way today.
It is Richard Loeb's 19th birthday and the day for which Nathan Leopold, Jr., had engaged passage to Europe on the Mauritania, but the start of the grim court procedure thru which the state hopes to bring these youths to the gallows took the place of happy anniversary celebrations and gay "bon voyages."
Fifteen extra deputies from the sheriff's office were on duty at the criminal court building today and battled continually to keep in order the mob of persons that strove to gain admission to Chief Justice Caverly's court.
The halls were jammed when Leopold and Loeb appeared for arraignment. So great was the pressure of the mob as it milled about the corridor that the doors to the court room crushed. One was torn from its hinges. A call was hurriedly sent to the sheriff's office for seven additional deputies.
Dignified and serious, the sons of two millionaires walked calmly into a stilled court room to face a curious crowd that had only a few moments before torn the doors to the court room from their bingo.
Instead of being handcuffed to deputies, as is customary with prisoners charged with murder, the two boys were looped to their guards by means of "come-ons"—

RUPTURE
EXPERT HERE
F. H. Seely, of Chicago and Philadelphia, the noted truss expert, will personally be at the Rossmore Hotel, and will remain in Santa Ana Thursday only, June 19. Mr. Seeley says: "The Spermatic Shield will not only retain any case of rupture perfectly, but contracts the opening in ten days on the average case. Benign advancement over all former methods—exemplifying instantaneous effects immediately appreciable and withstanding any strain or position no matter the size or location. Large or difficult cases, or Incissional ruptures (following operations) specially solicited. This instrument received the only award in England and in Spain, producing results without surgery, injections, medical treatments or prescriptions. Warning—All cases should be cautioned against the use of any elastic or web truss with uncertainties, as same rest where the lump is and not where the opening is, producing complications necessitating surgical operations. Mr. Seeley has documents from the United States government, Washington, D.C., for inspection. He will be glad to demonstrate them without charge or fit them if desired. Business demands prevail stopping at any other place in this section.
P.E.—Every statement in this notice has been verified before the Federal and State Courts.—F. H. Seeley.
