BOY SCOUT CAMP OPENS JUNE 25th County Boy Scout headquarters announce that Ro-Ka-Li camp in the San Bernardino mountains opens June 29 and closes Aug. 20, in charge of Dr. M. A. Patton, chairman; C. R. Allen, Willard Smith of Orange, D. Jessurun of Anaheim and W. A. Moomau of Huntington Beach. This camp is one of the most attractive in California. Last year nearly 200 boys and leaders attended the eight weeks it was open. This year, an even greater number is expected and a better program is planned. Fishing promises to be much better this year, because of more plentiful water supply. The lake, according to members of the committee who recently visited camp, is several times as large as any previous year, which promises water sports unequaled. The committee is doing everything possible to complete the pool at camp for this summer's use, and is making special preparations for visitors, according to the prospectus mailed today. Tents are being put up and costs and mattresses for visitors al camp, for which a very small charge will be made. There will be two large tents especially set aside for the visitors, one for ladies and one for men. Last year more than 100 persons visited the camp and it is expected that this new venture will draw an even larger number of parents over the weekends. Victor E. Teaney, field executive for the local council, will again have charge of the camp for the coming season. Teaney has handled the camp for two years and has won a very high place in the minds of all those who have visited camp, and particularly the boys who have lived there. Interest is very keen in seeing who will be the first scouts in the country to register, because the first scout from each troop who registers for camp, will receive a Ro-Kl-Li cap free, which he can wear from now until the opening of camp. and has won a very high place in the minds of all those who have visited camp, and particularly the boys who have lived there.
