EXPECT TO FIND
MISSING $30,000
LOS ANGELES, April 4 — The navy department today expected to recover $20,000 from a deposit box in an eastern city, as a result of information furnished by Mrs. Daisy Brown, wife of Lleut. Ervine Brown, now sought in connection with the disappearance of $129,000 navy finds.
Mrs. Brown, who told naval authorities in San Diego of the location of the additional money, after turning over to them, $75,820 of the amount said to have been taken by the missing man, is now at Azusa, near here, with her three children.
Brown and his wife are said to have seen each other here last Tuesday night and after an all-night conference; during which Mrs. Brown tried to persuade her husband to give himself up, he left the next morning to purchase a newspaper and never returned.
He left behind a suitcase containing the money, which Mrs. Brown later turned over to the naval authorities.
Brown's family believe he is distracted because of a shortage of $12,000 in the funds in his keeping, discovered shortly after the Honda wreck last year and that his condition of mind is responsible for his more recent actions.
OFFER INDUSTRIES
SAME POWER RATE
Anaheim will give industries coming to the city the same electric rate as they can obtain from the So. Calif. Electric Co.
This was the answer to City Manager O. E. Steward to the inquiry of Secretary George W. Reid of the C. of C. what difference there existed in rates.
According to John Ruether of the Anaheim Beef Co., immense savings can be effected by an industry with its own power plant.
The city manager declared further that the Edison company was prepared to furnish current in any volume demanded, something it is all the more able to do with the installation of new transformers at the local power house.

WHO'S WHO IN THE DAYS NEWS
In the small group of men from which may step "the man of the hour" in Soviet Russia through the death of Nicolai Lenin, is Leonid Krassin.
Krassin first drew world-wide attention when, as Red trade envoy to Great Britain he pitched his wits against those of David Lloyd George and other British statesmen and commercial leaders and brought to a conclusion commercial negotiations which were advantageous to the Soviet government and Soviet projects.
Krassin is a native of Siberia and was born in 1870. Ever since his youth he has been identified with revolutionary activities, and during the reign of the czar was much of the time in prison or in exile as a result of his plots against the then existing order.
The outbreak of the World war found Krassin in Petrograd as chief minister.
Dorothy Gordon, beautiful less to half a million dollars breathing the glorious air of f dom after years of confinement an asylum. She is now living qually with friends in Boston, after three-years fight to gain hererty. Much attention was atted to her case in 1941 when temporary guardian, William Jardine, was ousted and J. O'Donoghue appointed It.

The outbreak of the World War found Krassin in Petrograd as chief manager of the Russian interests of a large German engineering concern. He occupied this position until August, 1918, at which time he was elected to an official post with the soviet government.
His connection with the soviets began in 1917, at which time he participated in the Brest-Litovsk peace negotiations with Germany.
He also took part in the drawing of the commercial treaty in the capacity of financial and economic expert.
Upon his return to Moscow he was elected president of the supreme council of national economy and of the extraordinary commission for supplying the Red army with necessities. He became people's commissar of commerce and industry in November, 1918. On March 20, 1919, he became, in accordance with the resolution of the central executive committee of soviets, people's commissar for means of communication.
He also served as a member of the soviet delegation to the Genoa conference two years ago.
