The Modern Gas Appliance Co. thought so, when, on Saturday, following a full-page "ad" in Fridday's Plain Dealer, five fine gas ranges and two mangles were sold and prospects for further sales obtained. To cook without one of the fine ranges of this concern is getting to be one of the things that "isn't done" in Anaheim. Frank B. Harden and Harry I. Horn have almost revolutionized the task of heating and cooking. The fine wall heaters of the company, for example, which some of the leading apartments here have installed, not only heat more effectively than the old heaters, but are ornaments. They lend a cheerful glow to a room, particularly on cool days, such as come along at this season of the year. The Loraine direct action range also is a new creation. Think of being able to set a clock which in turn will automatically cut off the heat when a pie or cake or roast is to be done literally to a turn! No worry, no pulling a pan in and out to note the way the brown is spreading; just regulate in advance and leave it! Harden and Horn's store is an education to any housewife. It is full of a lot of good things at prices to fit any purse, things that will not only save unnecesssary labor, but dollars. RALPH W. MAAS CO. OPENS NEW OFFICES Ralph W. Maas Co., local realtors, moved today from 230 East Center to 135 South Los Angeles st, where the office is open for business. The concern has one of the front offices into which the former quarters of the Modern Gas Appliance Co. was cut up. Adjoining at 137 will be the Normandie electric shop, now on West Center-st, which, besides show window space in front, will have the entire space back of the frontage given up to itself, the Maas Co. and a third company which has not yet leased up. The shop's location is one of the most central in the city. ORANGETHORPE TO VOTE ON FRIDAY Orangethorpe grammar school trustee election will be held between 1 and 6 p.m. Friday, March 28. There are two candidates, John McDuel, incumbent, and Rufus Porter. The beautiful Orangethorpe building has been recently set off to better advantage by planting of flowers, shrubbery and lawn in front with sprinkling system. Harold is one of those liberal-minded men to whom subleties areague as the nebular hypothesis to an Eskimo. In addition to this mental encumbrance he is as bashful and shy as a bald-headed man under a spotlight. He is still wondering why the young woman he took for a ride in his new chummy roadster suggested he learn to drive with one hand and why she laughed when he said, "if I ever lose an arm I shall quit driving an automobile." There is nothing puzzling about his method of determining when the uphayala will happen, Bendani says, and he has promised to deposit a sealed envelope containing his complete theory of predictions with Prof. Poggi, director of the Rome observatory. He is credited with having foretold the Japanese disaster, quakes in Colombia and Peru and minor disturbances in Italy. Says Prescription Has Powerful Influence Over Rheumatism Mr. James H. Allen suffered for years with rheumatism. Many times this terrible disease left him helpless and unable to work. It finally decided, after years of ceaseless study, that no one can be free from rheumatism until the accumulated impurities, commonly called uric acid deposits, were dissolved in the joints and muscles and expelled from the body. With this idea in mind he consulted physicians, made experiments and finally compounded a prescription that quickly and completely banished every sign and symptom of rheumatism from his system. He freely gave his discovery, which he called Allenrhu, to others who took it, with what might be called marvelous success. After years of urging he decided to let sufferers everywhere know about his discovery through the newspapers. He has therefore instructed druggists everywhere to dispense Allenrhu with the understanding that if the first pint bottle does not show the way to complete recovery he will gladly return your money without comment. Heying's Pharmacy will supply you. X-RAY FREE WITH COURSE OF ADJUSTMENTS 100 PER CENT RIGHT Dr. Joseph H.
