"OH, 'TIS LOVE, THAT MAKES THE WORLD GO 'ROUND"
St. Valentine's—true lovers' day—wilen cupid's darts strike the hearts of many winsome maidens and gallant youths, and also renew the flame in hearts of older lovers long wed! Long may the gentle saint's influence be with us for one day, at least, in this old world where so often it seems as if strife, not love, makes the world go round.
There is no better time to have a happy house party than on this day. Pay red hearts, daisy yet, a red cloth heart of considerable dimensions appliqued to the sheet. The heart should be roughly marked off into a number of zones, every zone representing a fortune and appropriately numbered. Packages of red paper arrows should be distributed among the guests and pins to go with them.
One by one the guests should be blindfolded and turned around several times, then started off in the direction of the heart, to pin on an arrow. The fortunes may be printed on slips of paper and pasted on the different zones or year.
How about a nice brunette? There's one whose heart is you set.
In a cottage you shall dwt But love will come within your spell.
Happiness shall be your lot, And as for gold—a great pot!
You'll surely get a crook stick Unless you make your mind quick.
Should your arrow hit space

There is no better time to have a happy house party than on this day. Gay red hearts, dainty cupids and spring flowers make a riot of color, and there are so many games that seem particularly fitting for this day. Here is a description of one that would help entertain the guests:
Based on the idea of the old fashioned donkey party, fasten up on the wall a large sheet. Instead of a picture of our long eared friend have a large heart outlined on the sheet, or better
