Columbia Lease COLUMBIA LEASE, Jan. 31. (Spl.)—Mrs. John C. Alkle entertained as week end guests, Mr. and Mrs. Kinyon, Mrs. Florence Moffet and son of North Yakima, Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Kinyon are wintering in Pasadena, but will leave in the spring for their home where they will again take charge of their 90 acre fruit farm. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dowdy of Santa Ana, visited Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Weaver Monday. A prayer meeting was held at the home of Mrs. C. P. Duty last Thursday. There was a large attendance. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Waller and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Waller's sister, Mrs. M. L. Seale of Anaheim. Mrs. Currey is quite ill with rheumatism. She will undergo an operation shortly to have her tonsils removed, which her physician says is the cause of the trouble. Mrs. John C. Alkle is planning on attending the Kansas Pleinic held at Bixby Park, Long Beach, next Sunday. Mr. Van Ness accompanied by Miss Gibson were dinner guests of Jay Van Ness of Brea Monday. The three Heffron children were baptised last Sunday in Fullerton. Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Cariker of Fullerton were dinner guests of Mrs. R. Phoenix Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hollingworth had as their dinner guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Hollingworth and Mr. and Mrs. Michel of Fullerton. Ted Hollingsworth had the misfortune to lose his car by fire Sunday night. It is reported that the fire originated from the battery. The fire occurred by the Placentia Bridge and it was a complete loss. This is the second car to be lost by fire in the same day of publication.
