SMALL CO. DINES WITH MR. AND MRS. EN EARL
MR. AND MRS. ARNOLD EN Earl were host and hostess to an informal little dinner party Monday evening, their guests being of their closest friends. The prettily appointed meal was served at 6:30, with four courses. A floral centerpiece gave artistry to the table arrangements and place cards marked covers for Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cohen, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Motloy, Mr. and Mrs. EnEarl and Miss Marie Gregg and Mr. Herbert Oelke.
Cards gave amusement after the dinner and Mrs. Cohen was the skillful player. She was presented with an appropriate prize.
Music, of course, had a prominent place in entertainment of the guests for whover goes to the EnEarl home is sure of a ready response in the request for either vocal or piano numbers, although Mrs. EnEarl, who is fast becoming a recognized composer of vocal music, devotes her efforts almost exclusively to song. Several of her compositions are now in the hands of publishers, and their appearance is eagerly anticipated, as those she has given to Anaheim audiences through Mrs. Walter Ross and other local vocalists have been keenly enjoyed.
Busy Flower Mission
The Flower Mission of Prebysterian church made 60 calls during the month and sent four bouquets to the sick, according to a report made yesterday at the regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Hatfield, 727 No. Claudina-st. Mrs. Engene Hapgood was assisting hostess. After various reports, the afternoon hours were passed.
Successful Party
The Altar Society of St. Boniface church enjoyed the patronage of one of the largest crowds at their monthly card party last evening at St. Boniface hall and everybody had a delightful evening. Prize winners were Mrs. Manter, Mrs. Wachter and Mrs. R. O. Quarton, for the ladies, and Mr. Bruner, Mr. R. O. Quarton and Mr. Murray, for the gentlemen.
The four hostesses, Meadames E. P. Fergus, John Fleetchman, Elders and Elieholt, served delicious refreshments at the close of the evening's program.
Standard Bearers Call
The Junior Standard Bearers of the White Temple will meet Thursday at 6:30 in the social hall of the church for a cafeteria supper. A short business session, a lesson and social hour will occur. All young people from the senior department of the Sunday school vited.
Fidelis Class
Fidelis class will hold an all day meeting Friday, beginning at 10 a.m at the home of Mrs. C. U. Reinert, 418 West Broadway. Each member will provide sandwiches and a covered dish for the are invited.
A business meeting will be called at 2 p.m., the ladies meanwhile working on their own fancy sewing. The object of the meeting is to bring together all new people to get acquainted with the older members. It is hoped the attendance will be large.

New Grace Choir Leader
The Grace Lutheran church secured the services of Prof Franz Salbach who will direct choir regularly every Wednesday and also assist in the voices by singing solos on special occasions. Professor Salbach merely was director of the Ampela Choir of Milwaukee, comes to the local church recommended both as a choir rector and singer.
While the choir of Grace choir is comparatively new organization, it has already shown promise and under the direction of new leader promises to bear the services with creditable name listed.
League Box Social
The Luther League of O Lutheran congregation has invited by the Misses Frieda Clara Heinze to meet at home Friday evening. It is needed to make this a box social all the young people and friends are asked to be present.
At its last meeting the La League elected the following officers: President Paul Dickle vice president, Lenora Edwards; secretary, Esther Lee; treasurer, Minnie Edwardson. The central committee appointed counsel of Clementine Breuner, May Tuna, John Burgeten, A Schlimming and Forest Lee.
Amaranth Installation
Liberty Court, Order of Amaranth, is looking forward to a very interesting gathering Wednesday, Jan. 30, when centally elected officers will be stalled. Notable members of order from out of town have accepted the invitation to be present.

Influential Speaker
Rev. William Kuhn, who is general secretary of North American Baptist Mission, spoke at the local German Baptist church last evening to a congregation which packed the edifice. Rev. Kuhn, a world-traveled man and an educator of high degree, was recently completed a tour of Europe in his official capacity and his talk last evening dealt with situations and needs of the countries across the ocean.
Special music by the choir, with Miss Olga Stranske at the piano gave additional pleasure to the big congregation.
Bible Study Class
The Interdenominational Bible Study class will meet tomorrow afternoon at 2 in the Presbyterian church, under the leadership of Mrs. Jane Wilson, of Long Beach.

The meeting of the Y. L. Citrus Ass'n held in Masonic hall on Saturday was very well attended; there being about 150 for the dinner served at noon and several more attended the business meeting following. Mr. Dillingham, charman of the board of directors, was present and was re-elected. Manager P. Damen will be in charge for the ensuing year. The house has enjoyed a particularly profitable year, the acreage having increased 25% the past 12 months. The new board of directors include Mr. V. Dillingham, Dr. Wickett of Fullerton, A. W. Miller, N. W. Renneker, Mr. E. K. French, H. A. McClatchie, and Walter Moore.
Out-of-town visitors who attended the Citrus Ass'n meeting on Saturday included Mr. and Mrs. E. Y. Partridge, Mrs. Mary L. Charming, Mr. E. K. French of Whittier, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Marsh of La Habra, Mrs. E. J. Herbert of Fullerton, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shook of Altadena and Mr. Chaz Hamburg of Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. G. C Kinsman delightfully entertained at dinner on Saturday evening honoring Mrs. Angil Bosworth of Los Angeles, who formerly resided here. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Murray, Mr. M. Vernon, Miss Maraha Vernon, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas Payne, Mr. and Mrs. Kinman took their guests to the card party in the Woman's clubhouse following the dinner.
The party given in the Woman's clubhouse on Saturday evening was well attended; there being ten tables of cards besides several that played mah jongg and checkers. The ways and means committee of the club are sponsoring these parties and there will be one given every month. At the end of six months, after high scores for men and women have been kept, the side having low score will give a barbecue to the winning side, in Orange County Park. The ladies are ahead so far as on Saturday evening, Mrs. Chas Raynes' score for women was higher than Murray Walker's who was highest for men. An admission charge of 25 cents was made, which included refreshments of coffee and cake.

Mooseheart Card Party
Women of Mooseheart Leo royally entertained their mbers and friends last evening at a card party at their half...hundred was the diversion and affair was a social and financial success.
Winners of the lovely prize were Mrs. Daisy Pape, pal wooden tray; Mrs May Van H recound, nut cracker set; Mrs.Kopfer, third; pyrex dish; the men, C.E.McCulloch, lea bill fold; L.B.Stimp, ever gold pench; C.H.Young tray.
After the games were over, floor was cleaned and dancing joyed. The committee in chio on the arrangements served llicious homemade cakes and free.
Allday Aid Meeting
The Presbyterian Ladies Aldicety will enjoy a potluck dinner and all day meeting Friday in church. It is hoped every member will be there as important illness will be taken up in the erroneous session.

Peggy Hopkins Joyce, the married, says: "I never tained him seriously; I knew was that type of man."
LAHABRA
LA HABRA, Jan. 23.-The series of monthly social functions given by the entertainment committee of the Hacienda Country Club for members, is proving quite popular and successful. The second of these was enjoyed Thursday evening, and quite unheld the standard started at the first dinner gathering.
A well prepared dinner served at 7:30 o'clock, started the evening off well, and this was followed by dancing, which continued until a late hour. A special feature was the spot dances with prizes going to Mrs. Fred Strauss of Fullerton and Mrs. C. L. Crumrine of La Habra.
Secretary Matner, of the Club has the entertainments in charge, assisted by the following members of the entertainment committee: Mr. and Mrs. Mark Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Canterbury, Mrs. Frank Benchley of Fullerton, and Mrs. William Goodrum of Anaheim.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Scoffield returned Sunday from Tulare, where they spent the week end visiting relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pride of Los Angeles were business visitors in La Habra Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Pride expect to return to La Habra.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Berk have moved from South Hiatt Street to Torrence, so Mr. Berk would be nearer his work.

Fine Music Program
Anaheim Conservatory of Music will present a fine program Friday Jan. 28, at 8 p.m., in St. Michael's Guild hall, when several of their prominent teachers will be on the program. All lovers of music are cordially invited.
Mine, Frieda Starling, who recently associated herself with the vocal department of the conservatory, will sing La Glocenda, arta, Amarilli (old Italian song, sung in Italian); Brahms Wiegenlied, in German.
Songs my Mother Taught Me (Dvorak), At Dawning (Cadman) Styria, Oley Speake) all sung in English; Chanson Ludone (Rimsky Kokakw), Elgie (Massanet-sung in French).
Miss Jennie M. Dutkee, who is considered an especially fine琴le soloist, will demonstrate the American way of playing the little Hawaiian instrument. She will also play the Spanish guitar, banjo and mandolin.

Press Club at Rally
Going in a Lody to the Coolidge-for-president county mass meeting and rally held last evening in Elks clubhouse, the Women's Press club of Anaheim formed a considerable part of the audience, which was evenly divided as to men and women.
Although the chairman forgot to welcome the body of women as being the first in the state to receive a letter acknowledging their endorsement of his candidacy and administration, individual members of the political organization expressed their appreciation after the meeting. Anyhow, the Press club's for Coolidge to a woman.
Fraternal Brotherhood
The Fraternal Brotherhood will meet in Santa Ana Thursday evening for installation of officers. All officers are requested to be present.
