THREE DEAD FROM GAS ASPHYXIATION
SEATTLE, Dec. 29—Three persons are dead here today as a result of two separate cases of gas asphyxiation during the night.
Wen Neil Sorenson returned home from work he found his wife, Emily, lying dead on the kitchen floor of their gas filled home. She had attempted to light the gas oven, but had fainted from a recent attack of illness and had been overcome while unconscious. It is believed.
Eric M. Johnson, 35, and Oscar Anderson, 43, were found dead in bed in the latter's room. Partially empty whiskey and beer bottles and the remnants of a lunch testified to the liquor party which evidently preceded their asphyxiation. Two burners of a gas stove were turned on, and the men were found partly eluded where they had fallen unconscious on the bed.
