ANAHEIM COUPLE WEDDED TODAY IN S. A. CONG. CHURCH THE wedding of Miss Marguerita Schneider and Mr. Irwin North, was solemnized at First Congregational church, Santa Ana, today by Rev. Perry F. Schrock. The ceremony was performed in the presence of relatives and only intimate college friends. The bride, an attractive blonde, was attired in a suit of brown brocade broadcloth with hat and shoes to match. She carried an arm bouquet of golden Ophelias. Miss Irene North, sister of the groom, attended as brides maid. She wore a brown taffeta dress and wore a corsage bouquet of orange sweet-pens. Glen Pennington, intimate friend of the groom was best man. Both the bride and groom attended Anaheim high school. The dainty bride was a graduate of the class of '21. She won fame as an artist and drew most of the sketches for the high school paper, the Anoranco. She continued her studies at Pomona college for two years. She is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. H. Schneider, prominent orange grower of Anaheim. The groom is the son of Mrs. R. J. North and up until the present time had been a student at U.C. Agricultural college at Davis, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Lota Fraternity. The Norths are long time residents of Anaheim. After a short honeymoon, the young couple will attend Seniors In Recital Program for the Senior department recital of the Mrs. C. A. McCullah studio are off the press today. The pleasant event occurs tomorrow night in the White Temple, beginning at 8 o'clock. The committee making the event so successful was composed of Mrs. Ellie Clow, chairman; Mrs. Lillian Davis, Mrs. Ebie Armbrust, Mrs. Sanger, had decorated the tables appropriately for the season, black cats, owls and other creatures of mystery-provoking thrills from half-hidden places about the room. That there is something doing every minute in Anaheim, was evinced when Mrs. Ed. Marion, of Garden Grove-rd, issued invitations for a watch night party to be given at her home on next New Year’s eve. This, she said, was done to make sure no previous invitations would conflict. In appreciation of the services of Past President Mrs. Jessis Robinson, organiser, to whom she referred as "The Mother of the temple," Mrs. Ethel Idlor presented her with a huge basket of yellow chrysanthemums. Plans for the second annual masquerade set for Wednesday night, Oct. 24, are being completed. Good music has been secured and there is no question of the pleasure of the occasion. For the opening number Prof. L. C. Clanfoni gave two trocbone solos and graciously responded with an encore. Mrs. C. A. McCullah accompanied the soloist. She was chairman of the day. Vice president Blanch Mickle introduced Miss Ada Margaret Brayton, state finance chairman of the Business and Professional Women’s club who offered the club suggestions on how to make money for Xmas charities. Many of the suggestions will be adopted in arranging an evening’s entertainment in the near future. Miss Brayton is computer at Mr. Wilson observatory. Miss F. Josephine Stevenson, past president of the Pasadena club was also a guest. Miss Stevenson is a prominent lawyer. The evening meeting has been changed from next Thursday to Nov. 1. This will give the entretainment committee another week in which to prepare the program as put on by the losing team at the recent attendance drive, headed by Misses Mae Poierer and Lillian Degryse. The winning teams was in charge of Mrs. Helen Hardin. The play grounds committee will have a meeting at the Cherry Blossom Monday noon. Miss Ruth White gave an announcement about the float that is being prepared by the girls for the Armistice Day program at Oranges. Many pepper bourgis and geraniums are needed, also support from the different girls. Miss Elize Jessurun announced the dance to be given by the Paperette club Nov. 2 at the Elisi club. Graham C. Hunter, temporary pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will speak tonight at the prayer meeting on his trip to Palestine, which he terms "unforgettable moments". He will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Angus McAulay at supper this evening, and after prayer meeting expects to go to La Jolla to see his mother. He was formerly pastor of the Church of the Covenant in New York City, and expects to return to New York next week. Drill Practice For Lodge Lois Rebekah lodge will hold regular meeting Friday evening at 7:30 when several members by transfer will be accepted.
