ROTARIANS OPEN CONVENTION TODAY
ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 22—Whether they started from home with their faces set toward the east or whether they turned around and went in the opposite direction toward the setting sun—it made no difference as to the distance to be traveled by the seventeen delegates and their wives from Australia and New Zealand to the fourteenth annual convention of Rotary International, in session in this city.
They would start from scratch either way and have about the same distance to come to attend the convention—which is more than halfway around the world—because they would be compelled to travel a thousand miles or so north as well as twelve to fifteen thousand east or west.
