DODGE BROTHERS
MOTOR CAR
As Spring days approach, the demand for Dodge Brothers Touring Car mounts swiftly.
Dodge Brothers one problem, at present, is not how many Touring Cars they can sell, but how many they can build.
Never was public approval of Dodge Brothers product more obvious, and never was it more richly deserved.
Improvements, rarely spoken of but constantly being made have brought the car to a state of perfection which can only be described as remarkable, even for Dodge Brothers.

MOVIE FOR OILMAN AT FULLERTON H. S.
Early this year some of the largest oil companies of California engaged motion picture operators, actors and actresses. This may well seem a very unusual proceeding for commercial concerns, as indeed it is. These oil companies have for a long time spared no effort to make the lives of their employees in their oil fields, refineries and distributing branches, both comfortable and safe. They have spent much time and money in developing safety appliances and course of safety insurrection from courses of safety instruction from which they have resulted a notable whithey have resulted a notable. It was felt that another form of appeal to the imagination of their men and women might still further reduce unnecessary suffering and loss from accidents and to do this end a plan for a really first class film story was outlined. The film was produced by a combination of professional actors and actresses and oil men in scenes laid at Santa Fe Springs and elsewhere in the oilfields.
The story relates the adventures of a young oil worker. It is a thoroughly interesting tale portraying the young man's life, love and work. Those who have seen the picture based on a remarkable idea and that the story has a wonderful appeal.
The Standard Oil Company; represented by Mr. R. E. Donovan, will show the first picture at the Fullerton Union High School on Monday, May 11th. The first show will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Assembly Hall. There is no advertising matter in the picture. All citizens are invited and there is no charge.
In England the belief is centuries old that to put new shoes on a shelf higher than one's head is a sure harbinger of misfortune.

Patrons at the Orange Show will have to take their orange juice straight. There will be no "kick" in it.
E. B. Davidson and Lee Parmenteur, Orange County prohibition officers, arrested E. D. Exter, close to the exposition ground. He was found at a still in the act of grafting a sing of synthetic gin to a glass of Valencia orange juice.
"Well," said Exter, "I thought if so many people were interested in oranges, there might be some who were interested in gin, so I was bringing the ginless orange to the orangeless gin."
During the early part of the last century the principal dish at any important English feast was invariably a roasted swan.
