NORCO TOWNSITE TO
BE OPENED SUNDAY
Sunday, May 13, will be epochical in the history of Corona Valley, for that date the townsite of Norco, centrally located in this fertile section of the southland will be formally opened and educated.
The development of small farms and orchards in the district lying north of Corona has been extremely rapid the past year and the eventual building of a new town has appeared obvious to those who have had the interest of the valley at heart.
At present more than three hundred residents are engaged in various agricultural pursuits on the land formerly owned by the North Corona Land Company and the insistent demand for a central trading station and center of community activity is being met by the company in opening the new town site of Norco.
The company expects to have as their guests on the opening day in the neighborhood of ten thousand people and the problem of feeding this multitude is receiving a great deal of attention.
Henry Ford's efficient method of assembling the popular flivver by the means of a long conveyer is to be adapted in the serving of dinners to the huge crowd. The conveyer will be thoroughly screened and protected from dust, while white garbed attendants on each side placing on the traveling service the various articles of food, each man with a particular duty to perform, following out the idea of assembly that prevails in the Ford plant in Detroit. It is estimated that not more than one half hours will be required to serve the entire ten thousand people.
