DAY'S OUTING AT DEL MAR WITH PICNIC DINNER A NUMBER of Anaheimers enjoyed a delightful picnic and outing Saturday at Del Mar where they are interested in the Bae-Mar Land Co., which has 140 acres of which 320 are in potato fields, soon to be harvested at a fine price, and 110 acres in alfalfa. Dinner was enjoyed at the Bae-Mar ranchhouse. In the afternoon the party went over the large project known as the Santa Fe Rancho, where $150,000 is being spent each month on development. They visited the new and very artistic adobe hotel, the lobby of which has great beamed ceilings, large fire-place and other attractive features. Large forces of men are busy making adobe, concrete pipe and digging ditches on the project which lies next to the Bae-Mar holdings. The party included Mr. and Mrs. Phil Maurer, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Randall, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Metcalf, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Simpson, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Ehrle and two children, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Bever, Mr. Bever's father, Henry Bever, and sister, Mrs. Aceberg, Mr. O. Luce attended another of the delightful meetings of the club at the Norse studio Saturday when the long sought "Trilby," rather, the young woman who takes the part of "Trilby," and who was located in the outer sections of Paris and brought to America for the part, was present, with two other of the principal characters, and gave an excellent vaudeville act. The impersonation of George Behan, in his "Sign of the Rose," was remarkably fine. With Miss Gertrude Cleophas, also a celebrity, at the piano, two French singers rendered numbers in their native tongue. Another interesting number was presented by an artist who impersonated a tramp, and who pinned rags to a curtain imitating landscape views. A Norwegian bridal scene was enacted, all details of the quaint but lovely ceremony and procession, with the native bridal dance enacted by the bride and groom. The small son and daughter of Haakon Frolich, of the studio, and the father of Clara Kimball Young, movie celebrity, were members of the procession. Grieg music by the violinists of the procession, was rendered. The studio has opened—caffe-Stuva, where Bohemian luncheon or supper will be served to the public each Saturday evening, from 6 to 8.
