HELD UNDER BOND
ON POISON CHARGE
Marie Ann Brockett was held under 12000 bonds yesterday by Justice Leo Goepper in Santa Ana to be arraigned June 8 at 10 a.m. The woman and a male friend are charged with having attempted to poison Kirk Brockett, rancher, the woman's husband.

YORBA, May 5.—Every one that knew him was shocked and grieved by the untimely death of Robert Long who was killed in an accident near Northam Station on Wednesday while attending high school, the young man resided here with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Jackson and became well and favorably acquainted in the neighborhood. All his friends and especially his former schoolmates extend their deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and sorrowing relatives.
Mr. Arthur B. Andrade and infant son, Wayne, spent the first part of the week with her folks here, the Bolsseranc family.
Mr. O. J. Stambro has been nursing a badly pinched thumbnail, and young Harold Stambro is once more looking the world full-face as for a time, he had only a one-sided view of it, one of his eyes being shut thus the officieness and perniciousness inquisitiveness of the wrong end of a hee.
Mr. Lorando Velar of Lordsburg was a visitor for a few days this week with his sister, Mrs. Lawrence Jones.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sanchez and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Glenn of Los Angeles, also Mr. and Mrs. Albert Duarte of San Gabriel were entertained at dinner on Sunday by Mrs. Teresa D. Sanchez.

G. & L. LEASE, May 5.—Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Delaney are the proud parents of a 1-pound baby girl who arrived here early Monday morning at the Anaheim sanitarium and mother and baby are getting along nicely. They have called her Betty May, and why Delaney is wearing a big smile on his face now.
Miss Julia Albertson attended the show in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Mayfield received word Saturday that her step father, Mr. H. D. Nelson of Downey has a bad foot and that her mother, Mrs. Nelson has taken him to Elsinore for two weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. William Wimer of Los Angeles are spending a few days with their daughter, Mrs. Frank McElhany before they leave for their ranch at Richmond.
Miss Lucile Brawley has gone back to school after a two weeks illness at her home.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Burns of Mari-posa spent Monday nite with Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Lemley while on their way to San Diego.
Mr. and Mrs. Albertson and their house guest, Mrs. Frank Sins spent the day last week at Riverside.
Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Mayfield spent Sunday evening with the latter's aunt, Mrs. Floyd Cheadle of El Monte.
