GRAIN FUTURES ACT
TO HIT OLD H. C. L.
(By WILLIAM K. HUTCHINSON)
M. N. A. Staff Correspondent.
WASHINGTON, April 21.—A legislative pathway to a reduction in cost of living has been opened by the supreme court decision validating the grain futures act, farm block leaders announce.
By slashing the middelman's profits and eliminating speculation, the grain futures act would ultimately bring a decline in recall prices. A series of bills, to break the cotton, sugar and coffee exchanges under the same stringent government regulation, will be introduced in the next session of congress.
TEMPLE SERMON ON BROWNING
Perhaps no more distinguished follower of Jesus Christ has appeared in our modern world than Robert Browning, the great poet. He has given many glowing description of the power of faith and of the religious view of the world and life and has been particular to state clearly his own personal faith in Christ as the Saviour of the world.
Dr. Geissinger, pastor of the White Temple, has long been a student of the poetry and philosophy of Robert Browning and has published a number of interpretations of individual poems of Brownning. He agrees with those critics of literature who maintain that no offe else has done so much in these later years to set for the spiritual meaning of life and the realities involved in the religious view of the world than has this great poet.
Sunday night at the White Temple he will speak upon "Robert Browning, Christian."

The big oil companies employ geologists who are paid not to make takes nor guess. When they locate leases they are in the right place production—ON STRUCTURE.
These big oil companies back the judgment of their experts by buy-leases. They drill on these leases and get production at minimum risk. Mr. A. R. Sweet, our geologist, was for years with the U.S. Geologicalvey. His expert knowledge is sought by some of the largest oil companies in the country.
He tells us that we are on top of the oil structure. He further believes every new well coming in strongly bears him out that the present oil section of Santa Fe Springs is drained from the Western Extension of field.
He therefore calls this Western Extension the "Mother Pool."
