Plummer brot to legal task for selling cigarettes to minors that are fighting to have Plummer removed from the Pullerton Union High School? The charge that this is the real cause, or at least the chief cause of the attack on Plummer was made today by a man who is thoroughly familiar with the crusade which the principal conducted. Plummer sent two "Y" boys whom he knew he could trust around to the stores of Fullerton, Placentia etc. and obtained 29 or more convictions on evidence they obtained. The attack was the second made on the stores, and they are known to be bitter. Another charge brought against Plummer is that he has been spending the district's money too freely. Even Plummer's friends admit that even though the money was available to spend that would be no excuse for wanting it. County Superintendent of Schools R. P. Mitchell, when asked today regarding the charges of the low scholastic standing of the school, said there was absolutely nothing in it. The figures brought forward were those of the University of California an dare entirely reliable. The only trouble is that it is a case of not enough statistics to tell the truth. The Pullerton school one year, said Mitchell, might happen to send five of its worst students of the State University, whereas the other high schools might chance to send young people much more studious or brighter. One school moreover might send three and another thirteen. Naturally the Pullerton school or any other, on such a basis, might show up poorly for one year or even two or three. The fair test to use said Mitchell, would be to compare the scholastic standing of all the students who went to college at all the institutions they attended in common with students from other county high schools. French Seize Cars Loaded With Beer (By International News Service) DORTMUND, Mar. 30.—French troops today occupied the railway stations at Luettringhausen, Hoerde and Aplerbeck, seizing 150 railway cars, part of which were laden with beer. F. SHELDON ESTATE VALUED AT $50,440 Frank W. Sholdon left a net estate of $50,000, according to the final account and petition for distribution filed today. The principal item is 14.39 acres and 12 shares of stock in the Romneya Drive Mutual water company valued at $25,-000. Other items are Lot, 390x220, on the former Miles Rancho, $9,000; more than $4,000 cash in the Farmers' and Merchants National Bank and more than $8,000 in the First National. Mary A. Little left a net estate of $2216, according to an order announcing the final accounting. Charles A. Boege in orders filed today was named administrator of the estates of the late T. J. E. Boege and Olga A. Boege, of Anaheim. Calvin L. Dean's estate amounted to $13,193.47 after expenses according to the final account. Two shares of stock in the Anaheim Water Company and 10 acres out of 15 in the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 3, of Township 4 South and a lot 120 by $00 on Crone avenue, Anaheim, were the principal items of the estate. Fred Banks' net estate amounted to approximately $4,000, mostly a promissory note for that amount. DIFFERENT E. L. BOWEN Ernest L. Bowen, who was sentenced by J. C. LEGISLATURE TO SEE FIRST LEAGUE GAME (By International News Service) SACRAMENTO, March 30.—Further argument on the Weller-Mitchell bill amending the direct primary law so as to restore strict party lines in state campaigns was postponed until next week by the bill's proponents in the assembly today. The assembly passed a number of uncontested bills. The senate devoted its session to a discussion of the proposed new state housing net by Senator Lester Burnett, its author. The bill has been the subject of some discussion in the senate and it was the provisions in the housing act of the last legislature that led to the campaign battle last fall. Both houses adjourned to meet Monday morning when short sessions will be held and adjourn to permit members to attend the funeral service of Assemblyman G. H. Douglas who died last Tuesday. The legislature will also adjourn next Tuesday afternoon to attend the opening Coast League baseball game. CAT OUT OF BAG; REPORT HIGH GIRLS Girls at the high school have always wondered why Coach Irene Jacques never ventured into the dep-water in the plunge. They found out. While the Anaheim mentor was chaperoning the senior girls at a party, some of them sneaked up behind her and gave her a tilt from which she fell into the deepest water. The champion swimmers helped her out. Fortunately she wore her bathing suit. Thus the question is covered as to why the beloved coach never goes into the deep water. After a swim, the girls hovered around a huge fireplace and roastedweenies toasted marshmallows and had a grand and glorious time that made the underclassmen as well as the senior boys extremely anxious. MASON International News Service Staff correspondent. PARIS, Mar. 30.—Premier Poincare sent a message to the chamber of deputies today stating that France will examine any offer made by Germany through the Allies for settlement of the Ruhr problem providing it is precise, serious and direct. Hereforefore France had maintained the position that any German proposals would have to be made direct from Berlin to Paris. Premier Poincare's announcement was received with applause. The chamber of deputies adjourned later until May 8, after voting the appropriations necessary to maintain the military forces in the Ruhr. Premier Poincare's message was carefully worded and was received just before adjournment for the Easter holidays. He said that the government had decided to allow the German people to make an offer to France through the Allies, on condition that they are "serious written propositions and not an attempt at mediation." The prices of materials are blamed by the bakers. Fullerton bakers already have boosted prices, and adjoining counties are said to have had 12 cent bread since January 1. Prices in the cities further north are reported to be 12 and 13 cents. MUCH INTEREST IN FULLERTON VOTING Fullerton H. S. trustees election today is drawing a record vote.
