Zirkkle, who returns to Orange, to Edward Parr and Mrs. Grace Ward, intl. from Farragher, Miss Elizabeth Farragner Colorado where they have been in the hotel business ten years. The hotel is to be under the management of Mrs. Ward, and Miss Farragher, while Mr. Farragher expects to go into the real estate business at Long Beach. The new owners of the Pleasant formerly operated the Cole hotel and Annex Hotel in Sterling, Colo., and the Palms hotel in Denver. Prior to that, Mr. Farragher was steward at the Oxford Hotel in Denver, where he was associated with Charles B. Investing money requires considerable skill, practice and long experience, and is one of the most important steps which an individual ever takes. As the individual cannot be expected to invest as intelligently as the highly trained specialist, doubt may be removed by leaving it to the latter. The above firm handle bonds and securities from their Santa Ana office, which is under direction of the main office in Los Angeles, and is ready efficiently to serve the southern district. We blame human nature for our meanness, but we take personal credit for our piety. ONCE BEAUTY QUEEN WASHES DISHES WARIS—Once the reigning beauty of the Monlin Rouge, place of many crowded heads seeking relief from royal attitude in Paris, Yvonne Lebray, known as La Mone-Promage, was discovered the other day washing dishes in a cheap restaurant within a hundred yards of the place where she secured her greatest triumph. In her lunch hour she goes every day to sit on a bench in the Boulevard Clichey, her eyes fixed on the gaudy red walls of the famous dance hall, with its waving windmill sails, thinking of the days when she was in the famous quartet whose fame went around the world. The others were: La Gorlue, wealthy now and a frequent visitor to the private rooms of the Monlin, Grille d'Egout (Gutter Snipe) and Sauterelle (the Grasshopper). These two have disappeared. La Mone-Promage is perhaps 50 years old. Her face still bears traces of her wonderful beauty. Buena Park News BUENA PARK, Mar. 22. W., Mar. 22.—A modern Utopia, where no taxes are paid, with no politics, food in abundance, no pests, no paupers, plenty of intoxicating liquor, but no drunkenness, is Norfolk island, according to the picture of the land drawn by Maj. Gen. Parnell, its administrator, on a visit to Sydney. Gen. Parnell said that during his two years' administration, the only serious crime committed on the island was the theft by a woman of some money from the cable station. Intoxicating liquor is issued from bond of the administrator and there is never a case of drunkenness among the inhabitants. Most of these are descendants of the mutineers of His Majesty's ship Bunty. The residents are very contented, living on their farms, although very few make more than 100 pounds a year. Gen. Parnell said. Food is plentiful, but the people appear to lack initiative. By order of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, made March 6th, 1923. J. M.
